    • PURPOSE:To reduce the rise/fall time of beam current by stopping feedback control in the state of the rise and fall of the beam current when the beam is on and performing feedback control at the point of the time when the set value of the beam current is attained. CONSTITUTION:An output (*1) of an AND gate 24 is off and the output (*2) of a NOT gate 25 is on until a set signal Ss' and a detection signal Fs coincide, and since an analog switch 20 goes on, the output of a buffer 9 is not impressed on a differential amplifier 10. The output from a function generator 12 is impressed at it is on the amplifier 10 and therefore the beam current rises. When the beam current increases to fs=fs', a comparator 23 turns on and impresses the detection signal fs to the amplifier 10 via the buffer 9 and therefore the feedback control circuit is formed.

    • PURPOSE:To weld thick plates forming uniform penetration bead without causing welding defect, by detecting beam current penetrated to the back of a welded member and controlling the intensity of irradiated electron beam to become required penetration beam current. CONSTITUTION:When droplet transfer of a welding spot 12 is progressed and a proper penetration bead 16 is formed on the back of a welded member 10, a feed back signal 54 of a detector 36 becomes nearly the same with a set signal 56. When melting of the welded spot is further advanced, and strength of penetration beam 32 becomes large, the feed back signal 54 becomes larger than the set signal 56. Then, output of a comparator 40 is turned on, and controlling voltage is given to an automatic carrier 42. Phase angle is controlled and waveform shaped to steep pulse voltage. The signal 54 is signal insulated by a pulse transformer, and a thyristor amplifier 46 controls flow angle and performs power conversion. Output of a grid bias power source 52 is controlled by a converter 48, and proper grid voltage is impressed to a grid 50, and strength of penetration beam 32 becomes proper strength.
