    • 1,105,155. Clocks and watches. FABRIQUE d'HORLOGERIE CHS. TISSOT & FILS S A. June 29, 1965 [Aug.7, 1964], No.27440/65. Heading G3T. A rotatable member of a watch movement train, comprising a shaft 4 which carries two active elements such as a toothed wheel 2 and a pinion 3 for co-operation with adjacent members in the train, is mounted at least at one of its ends on a fixed stem 11 which protrudes from a frame element 5 of the movement. A bore which houses the stem 11 is enlarged at 12 and surrounded thereat by a narrow annular plane face 15 abutting a step 7. Excessive rocking under shock is prevented in that the other end of the shaft will engage the side of a depression 17 in a top frame plate 19. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown) a flat surface of the shaft end engages the plate to prevent rocking. In another embodiment, Fig. 2 (not shown) a balance staff which carries, as active elements, a balance and a table roller, rotates on thin stems (28, 30) at each end. These stems bend resiliently under shock, and excessive lateral movement is prevented by the sides of recesses (27, 29) in the frames wherein the shaft ends are engaged.
