    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning device 20 which can surely perform the fixation of a high back 13 while playing with a snowboard, and at the same time, can tilt the high back 13 backward by a simple operation so that the high back 13 may not become an obstacle for boots for the snowboard when the boots for the snowboard are attached/detached by the binding 10 to/from the snowboard. SOLUTION: This positioning device 20 determines the titling position of the high back 13, which supports the back surface of the boots for the snowboard being fixed on a base plate 11 while being supported by a heel cup 12 attached to the base plate 11 which constitutes the binding for the snowboard. Such a positioning device 20 is equipped with an attaching base plate 21, an operation lever 22, and a lock member. In this case, the attaching base plate 21 is attached at the approximate center of the back surface of the high back 13. The operation lever 22 is pivotally supported by a first pivotal shaft 24a in the lateral direction to the attaching base plate 21, in a manner to be openable/closable in the vertical direction. The lock member is pivotally supported by a second pivotal shaft 24b which is parallel with the first pivotal shaft 24a to the operation lever 22, in a manner to be rockable in the vertical direction. Also, the lower end of the lock member comes into contact with the upper surface of the heel cup 12 at the time of locking.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely hold the front end portion of a high back in a desired mounting position by varying the mounting position of the high back front end portion on a baseplate side wall part by means of a small adjustment width. SOLUTION: A hole through which a screw 21 for attaching a high back 20 is inserted is provided in the side wall part 4 of a baseplate 2 and a mounting hole 30 consisting of a longitudinally extending groove of a predetermined width, a longitudinally extending oblong hole bored in the center of the width of the groove, and a plurality of recess parts arranged in parallel at predetermined intervals on the upper and lower sides of the groove is provided in the inner side face of the front end portion 25 of the high back. A collar plate fitted into the groove is joined to a shank fitted into the oblong hole while having a screw hole in which the screw 21 is driven and a T shaped nut 40 formed when pawl pieces fitted into the recess parts is projected at positions on the upper and lower sides of the collar plate that deviate longitudinally from the center of the screw hole, each by a predetermined amount, are used as driving members for the screws 21.
