    • PURPOSE: A control valve for a variable displacement compressor is provided to quickly increase and decrease the flow of refrigerant for controlling the refrigerant pressure of a crank chamber from a discharge pipe communication passage to a crank chamber communication passage. CONSTITUTION: A variable displacement compressor compresses refrigerant sucked from a suction chamber communicating with a suction pipe, discharges the refrigerant to a discharge chamber communicating with a discharge pipe, and controls the pressure of refrigerant by a control valve(100) having a solenoid exciting unit(130). The control valve comprises a control valve body(120), the solenoid exciting unit for controlling the refrigerant pressure in a crank chamber, and a decompression unit(145). The solenoid exciting unit is disposed at the lower part of the control valve, the decompression unit is arranged in the solenoid exciting unit, and the control valve body is installed at the upper part of the solenoid exciting unit. A feed valve body installed between the discharge pipe and the crank chamber and a bleed valve installed between the crank chamber and the suction pipe are opened and closed by balance of the refrigerant pressure, reaction force of a bellows(146), and the solenoid exciting unit. The control valve body is formed like a longitudinally elongated cylinder. A hole unit formed at an axial core unit communicates through a feed valve body chamber(121) communicating with a crank chamber communicating port(126), a feed valve hole(122), a discharge communicating port(123), a valve bar supporting unit(124), a bleed valve hole(125) communicating with an intake communicating port(128), and a bleed valve chamber(127) communicating with the crank chamber communicating port in order. A longitudinal valve bar(132) disposed in the hole unit of the axial core unit comprises the feed valve body positioned in the feed valve chamber; a small diameter unit(132b) formed at the feed valve hole and the discharge communicating port; a supporting unit(132i) held to the valve bar supporting unit; a stopper unit(132e) positioned in the bleed valve hole; and a bleed valve body guide unit(132f) arranged in the bleed valve chamber. The bleed valve body is slid in the bleed valve body guide unit and pressed to the bleed valve hole and the position is determined by the stopper unit.

The sensitivity of the pressure-sensitive element is adjusted by an adjusting screw(157) provided so as to permit an adjustment of forward and backward movement with respect to a frame supporting the pressure-sensitive part, and the adjusting screw is rotationally operated by engaging an engagement part(181) annexed to a coil assembly constituting the solenoid excitation part against the adjusting screw thereby to operate the coil assembly.
