    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sensor of incongruity and a temporary increase in engine revolution speed from taking place even if slip control is executed so as to be started in the middle of gear shifting by executing transient slip control for transferring a slip control means to the usual slip control after it is judged that gear shifting by an automatic transmission has been over. SOLUTION: When it is judged by a slip control condition judging means 194 that a slip control condition can be established in any gear step after gear shifting has been actuated, a slip control switch-over means 200 allows a slip control means 192 to start slip control during gear shifting, after an inertial phase has been judged by an inertial phase judging means 196. And after it is judged by a gear shifting completion judging means 198 that gear shifting by an automatic transmission has been over, transient slip control is executed for transferring the slip control means 192 to the usual slip control. By this constitution, a sense of incongruity and an temporary increase in engine revolution speed can be prevented from taking place even if slip control is started in the middle of gear shifting.

CONSTITUTION:By an engine speed change rate detection means 204, a rate of change dNe/dt of engine speed Ne during decelerating slip control is detected. Although this rate of change dNe/dt of the engine speed Ne is initially made negative by the decelerating slip control, within the period of time it reaches zero, a control variable ISLU of the decelerating slip control is changed to the side where a slip amount of the lock-up clutch 32 is decreased, that is, to the increased control variable extending side. Consequently, as dropping of the engine speed Ne is restrained, even when fuel shutoff is started during the decelerating slip control of coasting traveling, it is possible to most favorably eliminate a case that the engine speed Ne becomes lower than fuel cut rotating speed NCUL and fuel supply shutoff work by fuel cut control is returned.

    • PURPOSE:To make precise judgement without lag in the start of shifting in the torque phase by subjecting the minute change amount of the output revolving speed resulting from variation in the output torque after issue of a shift command to a processing using different factor, comparing the two values obtained, and judging the start of the shift. CONSTITUTION:A shift timing sensing device of an automatic transmission A senses the start of the shift on the basis of the variation of the revolving speed of a rotary member 1 after the issue of a shift command, and a sensing means 2 senses the change amount of the output revolving speed of the transmission A. The change amount obtained is subjected to a numerical processing using different factors by a numerical processing means 3, and two processing values are determined, and they are compared by a comparing means 4. According to the result from comparing, the start of shifting is judged by a shift start judging means 5. Thereby the start of the shift is judged which reflects the rotational variation in a minute time of the output revolving speed, and it is practicable to conduct precisely sensing the start of the shifting associate with engagement of a one-way clutch at the on-down time or the start of torque phase at the on-up time without generation of time lag.
