    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent trouble or discomfort from being caused by that headlights are lit or extinguished due to the influence of dark or white clouds within a visual field range of an illuminance sensor regarding a light-automatic-lighting control unit.SOLUTION: A front illuminance sensor that detects an illuminance in front of a vehicle and an upper direction region illuminance sensor that detects an illuminance of an upper direction region of the vehicle are included. If both outputs of the illuminance sensors are lower than an illuminance threshold Don, headlights are lit. If both the outputs of both the illuminance sensors become equal to or larger than an illuminance threshold Doff higher than the illuminance threshold Don, the headlights are extinguished. In particular, since a visual field range of the upper direction region illuminance sensor 14 is equal to or larger than βn (=45°) that is wider than the conventional visual field range βo, even if white or dark cloud CL appears in the sky, an area ratio by which the cloud CL occupies the visual field range of the upper direction region illuminance sensor 14 reduces to decrease the influence of the cloud, and the output of the upper direction region illuminance sensor 14 does not cross the illuminance threshold Don or Doff. Therefore, the lit or extinguished state of the headlights remains unchanged, and tentative lighting or extinguishing is prevented.
