    • PURPOSE:To reduce the time required for rising as well as to obtain the stable photoelectric output power by the photoelectric power control circuit comprising small open-loop gain by newly providing a laser threshold current temperature characteristics compensation circuit in addition to an usual automatic photoelectric power constrol circuit. CONSTITUTION:Part of the outut light from a semiconductor laser 11 is received by a photodiode 12 to be converted into electric signals which are inputted into a comparison circuit 15 in which a reference voltage 14 is inputted, through a low-pass filter 13 for levelling outputs. Next, this comparison output is sent to a laser current control circuit 16 and is added to the laser 11. Also, transmission signals from an input terminal 21 is supplied to the laser 11 through a coupling capacitor 22 and a voltage-current converting circuit 23. In this constitution, the newly added laser treshold current temperature characteristics compensation circuit 17 is connected to the contact of the circuits 15 and 16, thereby reducing an open-loop gain of the photoelectric power control circuit for obtaining the predetermined follow-up properties of the photoelectric output power.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a drive system suitable on an employment to a laser-diode, both oscillation threshold and differential efficiency thereof change by a temperature, such as a buried type LD by varying pulse currents and bias currents at an approximately the same ratio by two control circuits in response to outputs from a light-receiving element. CONSTITUTION:A data and a clock are inputted to a flip-flop 1, and wave- shaped and applied to a current amplification circuit 2A and a bias control circuit 5. The magnitude of pulse currents as an output from the control circuit 2A and bias currents as an output from a bias circuit 6 are controlled by the bias control circuit, and both pulse currents and bias currents are applied to a laser- diode 3. One part of an optical output from the laser-diode 3 is received by a photo-diode 4, and an output from the photo-diode is inputted to the bias control circuit 5. The bias control circuit 5 varies pulse currents and bias currents at the same ratio according to the output from the photo-diode.
