摘要： A water level control device and method of making the same are provided, the device comprising a frame provided with an elongated slot having a first portion, a movable cam follower carried by the frame for setting the desired water levels to be provided by the device, and a slide cam member having a projection extending through the slot to guide sliding movement thereof relative to the frame, the projection having an interlocking part interlocking with the frame while the projection is disposed in the first portion of the slot. The cam member has a cam surface engaging the cam follower to set the same in desired water level setting positions thereof when the projection is in the first portion of the slot. The slot has a second portion thereof for unlocking with the interlocking part when the projection of the cam member is disposed in the second portion whereby the cam member can be easily detached from or attached to the frame.

摘要： A clock construction and method for making the same are provided, the clock construction comprising a frame, an interval timer carried by the frame, and a selector shaft rotatably carried by the frame while being axially movable relative thereto and being operatively interconnected to the timer to set the same to a selected time period upon rotation of the selector shaft. The timer has a cam member rotatably disposed on the shaft and has a slot in one side thereof. The shaft has a drive member disposed in the slot to rotate the cam member in unison with rotation of the shaft in any axial position of the shaft. A spring is disposed between the frame and the drive member to tend to maintain the shaft in one axial position thereof. The spring is confined completely within the slot of the cam in all axial positions of the shaft relative to the frame.

摘要： A valve construction and method of making the same are provided, the valve construction having an annular valve seat and a movable valve member for opening and closing the valve seat and being operatively interconnected to a thermal power element that is carried by the valve construction. The valve member has an annular rigid part for engaging the valve seat and has an annular flexible part for also engaging the valve seat at a point upstream of the rigid part, the parts of the valve member being so constructed and arranged that the rigid part moves out of engagement with and away from the valve seat a certain distance before the flexible part moves out of engagement with the valve seat. The flexible part of the valve member has an opening therethrough that is adapted to provide a certain sized fluid flow path through the flexible part of the valve member when the rigid part of the valve member is engaging the valve seat.
