    • Interference is reduced between two radio communication systems. A first radio communication system uses a first and a second frequency ranges which are separated by a duplex gap. A second radio communication system uses a third radio frequency range which forms part of the duplex gap. The first and second radio communication systems exchange information in order to establish an a priori knowledge about a connection on the network side. The a priori knowledge includes the radio transmission resources of the first frequency range provided on the radio communication system side and of the second frequency range and the radio transmission resources of the third frequency range (FB3) desired for call setup and completion. Radio transmission resources are selected depending on the a priori knowledge at the second radio communication system in order to reduce interferences between the first and second radio communication systems.

    • In a wireless communication system, signals within a connection on a wireless interface are transmitted exclusively in a packet-switched manner between a user station and an access device located on the network. The user station signals a need to measure signals to the access device, the access device sends measurement signaling to the user station, and the user station measures signals of at least one additional access device located on the network at a second frequency range while receiving data packets within the connection at a first frequency range based on the received measurement signaling, the second frequency range being disjunct from the first frequency range.

    • To distinguish between stationary and free-to-move terminal devices in a mobile communication network in order to reduce paging interference, a stationary terminal device chooses a surrounding radio cell as a home cell, which remains associated to the stationary terminal device, as long as the home cell fulfils a suitable-cell-requirement. Therefore, the communication network can be operated such that a paging request is only distributed through one base station/NodeB, if that paging request is to be forwarded to a stationary terminal device being associated to a home cell. According to another aspect of the present invention, stationary terminal devices are grouped in separate paging group that is stored in an operation unit of the mobile communication network. If a paging request is to be distributed, it is firstly checked, whether the paging request is to be forwarded to one of the terminal devices of the separate paging group.

    • In a method for communication by radio a first network radio station allocates radio resources to a subscriber station and communicates with the subscriber station using a portion of the radio resources. A second network radio station uses another portion of the radio resources to send a signaling signal which is intended exclusively for the subscriber station. The first network radio station and/or the second network radio station receives a message from the subscriber station, acknowledging receipt of the signaling signal. In response to the message from the subscriber station, the communication of the subscriber station is handed over from the first network radio station to the second network radio station.

    • A method for data transmission in a radio communication system, in which data of a plurality of subscribers is combined with the aid of a multiplexing method to form frames, and is transmitted by means of sub-carriers. At least two frame structures are provided for transmission of the frames, with the frame structures differing in the respectively associated number of pilot signals and/or in the distribution or grouping of associated pilot signals. Each subscriber determines an individual progress speed, and each subscriber is allocated to one of at least two speed ranges, depending on the progress speed. A frame structure which is individually associated with the speed range, on the one hand, and an individually associated number of sub-carriers, on the other hand, are used in order to transmit the data from subscribers who are allocated to an identical speed range on the basis of their progress speed.
