    • In the switched-on position, under the influence of contact forces generated by elastic deflection or else by mechanical spreading, or spreading caused by the attraction of parallel currents or repulsion of antiparallel currents, of a switching pin (5) , the switching pins presses against the inner side of a first switching ring (4), which is rigid for the purpose of avoiding mechanical overloading and securing sufficient consumable reserves. By way of example, a support (30) of the switching pin (5) is adjoined by two parallel, elastic extensions (52a, 52b), which are separated by a slot (53) and respectively support a contact member (54a; 54b) by means of a connecting element (55a; 55b) forming half a screw thread, with the result that said contact member is in each case offset by 180.degree. relative to the extension (52a; 52b). In the switched-on position, therefore, the contact members (54a, 54b) are forced apart by the elastic deformation of the extensions (52a, 52b) which is caused by the attraction between the parallel partial currents through said contact members. The switching pin (5) is electrically conductively connected to a second switching ring (6), which is separated from the first switching ring (4) by an arc space.

    • The interlock control for a circuit breaker and a disconnector comprises a moving bar for opening or closing the circuit breaker and a displacement rod for displacing a disconnector rod to open or close the disconnector. The moving bar is driven by an arm which is secured to an outlet shaft and which is rotatable in a plane perpendicular to the outlet shaft, and the displacement rod is driven via an L-shaped piece which is movable about an axis that is substantially parallel to the outlet shaft, the arm driving the L-shaped piece during a second opening or closing stage of the circuit breaker via a wheel which is fixed to the arm and which slides in a notch of the L-shaped piece. The outlet shaft makes it possible to achieve interlocking by means of a single control, thereby providing a high level of reliability and of safety.

    • An apparatus for operating a combined interrupter disconnect switch is disclosed. The disconnect switch is operated by a slow speed linear motion of a mechanism pullrod. The interrupter, which is a component of the disconnect switch arm, is operated by a high speed linear motion of the same mechanism pullrod. In a preferred embodiment, the apparatus of the present invention comprises: an operating rod; a high speed operating mechanism connected to the operating rod; a sliding gear having an elongated gear face; a motor, rotatably connected to the sliding gear; a coupling gear drive having a longitudinally disposed threaded shaft and an external gear face, connected to the operating rod and meshed with said sliding gear; a threaded rod threaded into the threaded shaft of the coupling gear drive; and a drive rod connected to the threaded rod and to the mechanism pullrod. The high speed operating mechanism and motor respectively provide high speed and slow speed linear motion to the mechanism pullrod. The elongated gear face of the sliding gear permits decoupling of the high speed operating mechanism and slow speed motor, although both are acting on the same mechanism pullrod. In a preferred embodiment, the operating mechanism of the present invention also comprises upper and lower limit switches, controlled by a switch control bracket, for transmitting open and close commands to the high speed operating mechanism and motor.
