An eye information estimation apparatus includes: a profile determination information acquiring unit which acquires, from an image obtained by photographing an eye of a person who is a subject, coordinates of two points P1 and P2 corresponding to a limbus of a pupil or an iris of a prescribed row included in the image and, when a shape of the pupil or the iris is assumed to be an ellipse, a length of a major axis of the ellipse and eye rotation center coordinates of a three-dimensional eye rotation system that constrains the pupil or the iris; and an eye information calculating unit which calculates an ellipse profile including center coordinates and a deflection angle of the ellipse that represent a position of the pupil or the iris and a length of a major axis and a length of a minor axis of the ellipse that represent a size of the pupil or the iris from the coordinates of the points P1 and P2, tangent slopes of the ellipse at the points P1 and P2, the length of the major axis, the eye rotation center coordinates, and an eye rotation radius of the three-dimensional eye rotation system.
