    • To improve EMC shielding for an electronic unit containing at least one electronic power device operated at high frequency and a metal housing thermally coupled to the device to provide heat dissipation, the power device with a device terminal is thermally and electrically coupled to a first metal plate.     • In the present invention a sorting machine in a distribution order is made to process a substantially higher number of distribution order points, within a sorting process, than necessary for sorting in one or several real distribution orders based on the available pigeon holes. Real distribution order points with large quantities of mailing pieces are distributed between several virtual distribution order points with a minimum quantity of mailing pieces. The quantity of mailing pieces statistically determined for each real distribution order point of a defined distribution order are distributed between the virtual distribution order points, as regularly as possible, for the sorting passes preceding the final sorting pass. Then, the sorting passes preceding the final sorting pass are executed. The final sorting pass is thus executed, such that the mailing pieces of a distribution order are sorted into adjacent pigeon holes.

    • Method, system and node for providing time synchronisation between local clocks located in nodes within a network and a central clock. The central clock and the nodes exchange messages. The messages transmitted contain a time stamp indicating the time of transmission. When messages are received, the time of reception is also determined. Based upon the calculation of the elapsed time taken by messages to be transmitted and received, a time difference can be estimated which indicates how much the clock on a node lags behind the central clock. Once this lag is known, the clock on the node can be updated. The proposed invention allows for a more precise time synchronisation to take place between nodes and a central clock without having to perform modifications on the transport circuitry of the system. The invention also allows for any changes in the network topology to be detected via any changes in the Round Trip Time, and a management centre to be notified in turn. Additionally, the invention allows for statistical information to be gathered in order to determine the quality of the synchronisation procedure.
