    • A voltage converter includes a power switch having respective charging and discharging control terminals, and an output terminal coupled to a series connected inductor and capacitor. The voltage converter also includes a charging switch coupled to the charging control terminal of the power switch, a discharging switch coupled to the discharging control terminal of the power switch, and a feedback circuit coupling the power switch, charging switch and discharging switch to a node at which the capacitor and inductor are connected. During a charging phase, the charging switch couples the capacitor to the charging control terminal of the power switch, and during a discharging phase, the discharging switch couples the capacitor to the discharging control terminal of the power switch.

    • The present application relates to a power supply module which is operable in a switch mode and in a linear mode. The power supply module includes a detector for detecting the presence of an inductor at an output node of the power supply module If an inductor is detected, the detector outputs a signal indicating the presence of the inductor, and the power supply module selects the switch mode as its operating mode. If no inductor is detected, the detector outputs a signal indicative of the absence of an inductor and the power supply module selects its linear mode as its operating mode.

    • An audio communication unit comprises a receiver for receiving an audio signal, a sigma-delta modulator operably coupled to the receiver and arranged to modulate the received audio signal, and a class-D amplifier stage operably coupled to the sigma-delta modulator and arranged to amplify the modulated received audio signal. One or more feedback path(s) is/are arranged from an output of the class-D amplifier stage to the sigma-delta modulator. The provision of one or more feedback path(s) from the output of the class-D audio amplifier to the sigma-delta modulator facilitates smaller die size; higher power efficiency and power supply rejection ratio/intermodulation cancellation performance.

    • A low drop-out voltage regulator having a pass device (Mp), an error amplifier (M1-M51) and a double regulation loop including DC feedback loop (R1, R2) and an AC feedback loop (Rf, Cf) including a high pass filter (Cf). Combining these two loops creates an ultra low frequency internal pole which makes the regulator stable substantially independent of the output bypass capacitor's value. This provides the following advantages: allows the use of very low bypass capacitors; allows to extend the PSRR frequency behavior; allows an increase in the regulator's efficiency (reduced power consumption on heavy loads).
