摘要： An image reading optical system includes an image reading unit including plural reading elements that are arranged in a first direction, a first reflective optical system configured to reflect reflection light which is irradiation light emitted from a light source and reflected on an object to be read, a second reflective optical system configured to condense the reflection light reflected on the first reflective optical system to the image reading unit, and an aperture stop including a plate shaped member formed with an aperture configured to regulate the reflection light reflected on the first reflective optical system in the first direction, the plate shaped member including at least one plate shaped piece bent at a preset angle with respect to the aperture along a tangent line of the aperture in the first direction.

摘要： An image reading optical system includes an image reading portion, multiple light reflection portions, and a diaphragm. The image reading portion includes an array of reading elements that read incident light. The light reflection portions reflect light traveling from a readable object to the image reading portion. The diaphragm regulates light traveling from a first one of the light reflection portions to a subsequent one of the light reflection portions in a specific direction. The diaphragm includes a first light shielding portion and a second light shielding portion disposed at different positions in a travel direction of the light with respect to the first one of the light reflection portions to block part of the light. The first light shielding portion and the second light shielding portion are located in substantially a common plane. The first light shielding portion is disposed along an optical axis of light incident on the first one of the light reflection portions.

摘要： An image is read from a recording medium via first and second optical imaging systems disposed such that respective reading regions partially overlap each other in a principal scanning direction on a reading surface. A sum of distances over which first and second images captured by the first and second optical imaging systems, respectively, are displaced in the principal scanning direction with respect to a reference point included in a region in which the reading regions overlap each other is calculated. First and second distances, over which the first and second images are displaced in the principal scanning direction, respectively, are calculated using the sum and first and second reading angles at which the first and second optical imaging systems, respectively, read the reference point. Positions of the first image and the second image in the principal scanning direction are corrected using the first distance and the second distance, respectively.
