The present disclosure includes disclosure of a device, comprising a bulb comprising a walled chamber portion having a nipple coupled thereto or formed as part thereof, a catheter configured to engage the nipple of the bulb at a first catheter end, and a balloon positioned at a second catheter end opposite the first catheter end, wherein when the bulb is compressed, air from within the bulb is pushed from the bulb, through the catheter, and into the balloon to inflate the balloon.

摘要： Methods and apparatuses for cleaning and/or drying a subject's ears and/or nose may include an inverting tubular swab region. These apparatuses may remove debris, such as ear wax & skin debris from the ear canal. These apparatuses are safer than traditional cotton swab. Also described herein are apparatuses configured for use in the nose, which may remove mucus (e.g., snot) from the nasal and sinus regions. These apparatuses may be configured for use with infants and toddlers as an alternative to air aspiration bulb/tool. Also described herein are methods of using any of these apparatuses as well as methods of making and packaging them.

摘要： A guard configured to form an air flow channel with a space access device and to clear debris therefrom includes a surface configured to interface with an opposing surface of the space access device to form the air flow channel. A connector is configured to attach the guard to the space access device so that the surface and the opposing surface are oriented in predetermined positions to establish the air flow channel. A wiper extends from at least a portion of the surface, the wiper being configured such that upon rotation of the guard relative to the space access device, the wiper contacts and moves the debris.

摘要： A method for cleaning an isthmus of a Eustachian tube (ET) of a patient includes using an instrument. The instrument includes a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a shaft extending therebetween, and a treatment feature disposed at the distal portion. The method includes directing the instrument into an oro-nasal cavity of the patient and advancing at least the distal portion of the instrument into an opening of the ET. The method further includes further advancing the instrument within the ET so that the treatment feature is disposed past, or is coincident with, the isthmus. The method further includes moving the treatment feature relative to the isthmus to clean the isthmus.

摘要： An ear device having a bubble for placement approximate a user's ear canal and capable of inflation and deflation. An inflation tube for delivering inflating air to the bubble during inflation of the bubble and an inflation source, such as a diaphonic valve, cause the bubble to extend automatically into the user's ear canal during inflation and retract from the user's ear canal during deflation. The bubble is substantially cylindrical and is comprised of a plurality of adjacently adjoined inflatable chambers. The bubble may also comprise at least one non-inflatable section interspersed therein. Where the ear device is used to convey sound to the user's ear, the device includes a sound tube positioned within the cylindrical bubble. At least one resilient member attached to a portion of the bubble, which may be a non-inflatable section of the bubble, is used to retract the bubble automatically. The ear device, equipped with a cerumen removing mechanism, may be used to clean a user's ear canal as well.

The ear canal engaging portion defines a molded resilient valve unitary with the earplug that is shiftable from a closed position to an open position in either direction under a preselected fluid pressure and that resiliently returns to the closed position below the preselected fluid pressure.
