摘要： The invention provides a method for producing a heat insulating material composed of a hydrophobic aerogel, and the method includes the steps of: (1) mixing step; (2) hydrolysis step; (3) condensation step; (4) aging step; and (5) drying step. In the method, a siloxane compound, an inorganic gel, and a halogen-free surfactant are mixed and then a sol-gel process is performed to produce the aerogel heat-insulating material without water-washing. The produced heat-insulating material has preferable strength, smooth appearance, and low shrinkage and can overcome the powder-dropping problem. By the provided method, an aerogel heat-insulating board can be produced, or an aerogel cold-resisting and heat-insulating blanket can be produced by mixing with a fiber or a foam material.

摘要： A method for making inorganic mineral hydrogels is provided. In one aspect, a first solution including one or more metal cations from one or more inorganic precursors is used. The metal cations are one or more of Fe, Mg, Ca, Co, Ni, Zn, Ti, Cu, Sn, or Mn. A second solution includes one or more polyoxometalates of Mo, W, V, Nb, or Ta. The first and second solutions are mixed together to form the inorganic mineral hydrogel. In one example, an aqueous solution of ferric chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3·6H2O) is mixed with an aqueous solution of ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate ((NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O), under ambient conditions. The two reactants first form a yellow precipitate (FeMo2Ox(OH)y), which subsequently dissolves back into the solution to gradually produce a viscous hydrogel that traps a large volume of water.

摘要： Sol-gel inorganic porous particles can be formed with two set of pores with different average sizes. These inorganic porous particles are composed of an inorganic compound that provides an inorganic solid phase including an external particle surface. They also have a first set of pores wherein the pores have an average diameter of less than 100 nm and a second set of pores wherein the pores have an average diameter of at least 100 nm. The second set of pores contains stabilizing organic microgel particles. The first and second sets of pores are isolated from each other within the inorganic solid phase.

摘要： An organic, easy to use, dual function adhesive in the form of a single package ready-to-use stabilized gelled mastic adhesive which prevents the separation and settling of components, for use in the installation of ceramic tile as an ordinary mastic adhesive when used as furnished for ceiling and wall tiles and, when Portland powdered cement is added, becomes a high strength latex modified dry-set mortar because of the unique breakable gel properties of the mastic adhesive. The gelled mastic adhesive is usable as the water component for dry-set mortar because, on the addition of portland cement, the gel will break and become a free-flowing liquid with additives thereby allowing precise quantitation and easy mixing to produce a homogeneous dry-set mortar with the strength and water resistance of a latex modified Portland cement based composition and also functions as a waterproofing and crack suppressing membrane adhesive.
