摘要： A process utilizes electron beam generated ionizing radiation or low energy electron irradiation to effect cure of polymerizable stain compositions applied to wood planking. The electron beam ionization process generates sufficient energy to break bonds and generate new cross-links within the polymeric stain composition thus bonding the stain strongly within the pores and surface of the wood planks further creating a durable treatment. The electron beam ionization process simplifies the curing process by eliminating or reducing the need for expensive photoinitiators. Pre-stained wood planking is suitable for exterior decking materials and building panels requiring a combination of color affected and durable finishes, thereby eliminating the need for field installation of pretreatments, stains, coatings and the like. These electron beam cured wood planks take on an assortment of appearances including clear, natural, translucent, and solid hues.

摘要： A flame retardant treatment of a lignocellulosic material, which includes: optionally steam exploding the lignocellulosic material, impregnating the optionally steam-exploded lignocellulosic material, in or with an aqueous solution, from 0.5% to 10% of phytic acid and from 1% to 30% of urea, based on the total weight of the aqueous solution, optionally drying of the impregnated lignocellulosic material, until the impregnated lignocellulosic material has a moisture content from 5% to 20% by weight, cooking the impregnated and optionally dried lignocellulosic material, the resulting flame-retarded lignocellulosic material including a phosphorous content originating from the phytic acid from 0.1% to 10% by weight. Also, the resulting flame-retarded lignocellulosic material and the use thereof for manufacturing flame-retarded composite materials based on plant fibres, woven or nonwoven flame-retarded flexible materials based on plant fibres, and particularly textiles, flame-retarded materials based on wood fibres and/or on wood particles, and particularly flame-retarded wood panels.

摘要： The invention pertains to a method of manufacturing a fire proof board from strands of wood, the method comprising the following steps in the given order: (a) providing strands of wood having a humidity between 5% and 25%, preferably between 5% and 20%, even more preferably between 8% and 20%, (b) immersing the strands of wood in a watery solution of a flame retardant chemical composition, (c) separating the strands of wood from each other, (d) at least in part drying the strands of wood thereby providing dry impregnated strands of wood, (e) applying an adhesive to the strands of wood, and (f) forming a board of a predetermined shape from the strands. The invention furthermore pertains to a board formed by a plurality of strands of wood that are compressed and bonded together with an adhesive, wherein the board further comprises a flame retardant chemical composition, said composition comprising a phosphate compound.

摘要： A method of treating a pattern wood for a wood panel. A liquid mixture of Chinese herbs and medicines is prepared using Chun goong, Dan hyang, Jung hyang, Peppermint, Pyoh gwah, Gong sah in, Cinnamon, Dang gyih, Sam behk cho, Uh sung cho, and Behk hwa sa suhl cho. A pattern wood is heated in a vacuum tank at a temperature in the range of 70 to 90 degrees centigrade. The liquid mixture of Chinese herbs and medicines is poured on the pattern wood in the vacuum tank and the liquid mixture and pattern wood are maintained in the vacuum tank for a period of 1 to 4 hours. The pattern wood is then removed from the vacuum tank, dehydrated, dried.
