Each module (11, 12, 13, 14, 15) is configured to be lifted separately onto and away from the vessel deck (7). The deck sections of the modules together form a mezzanine deck on which the cable operation is performed. The overboarding system (18) is secured to the mezzanine deck. At least some of the equipment for performing the cable operation is stored below the mezzanine deck.

摘要： Embodiments of systems and methods for deploying and retrieving a plurality of autonomous seismic nodes from the back deck of a marine vessel using an overboard node deployment and retrieval system are presented. The overboard system may comprise one or more overboard wheels that are actively powered to move in response to changes in movement of the deployed cable. The overboard system may comprise a first overboard wheel with a plurality of rollers and a second overboard wheel configured to detect movement and/or changes in a position of the deployment line. The overboard system may be configured to move the first overboard wheel in response to movement of the second overboard wheel. In addition, the first overboard wheel may comprise at least one opening or pocket configured to hold a node while the node passes across the wheel. Other seismic devices may also pass through the overboard system, such as transponders and weights attached to the deployment cable.

摘要： A method of laying a pipeline from a laying vessel into a body of water includes guiding the pipeline along a supporting structure of a laying ramp. The method also includes acquiring a first data item correlated to a position of the pipeline at a free end of the laying ramp using an optical sensor or an acoustic sensor. The method further includes determining whether the acquired first data item is within an acceptance range predetermined as a function of a configuration of the supporting structure and a size of the pipeline. Additionally, the method includes emitting an control signal when the acquired first data item is not within the acceptance range. Determining whether the acquired first data item is within the acceptance range includes processing the acquired first data item to compare it the first data item to an information stored in a memory.

摘要： A cleaning apparatus (100) for an ocean bottom cable (19) including a plurality of node casings (5), each containing at least one sensor capsule (9). During retrieval, an initial flushing device flushes the assembled cable with seawater before the capsules (9) are separated from the casings (5) in a loading/unloading apparatus (300). A washing tunnel (110) is configured to flush the sensor capsule (9) with water supplied from a freshwater tank (115) through a waterfeed pipe (117). Preferably, the cleaning apparatus also comprises a secondary flushing device for flushing the components with seawater after separation, and a drying tunnel (120). Separate conveyors convey the sensor capsules (9) and the node casings (5) to their respective destinations, such that each component may be flushed in seawater and/or freshwater and/or dried as required. The cleaning apparatus is optimized to use a minimum of freshwater and energy.
