摘要： An interlock structure of a bypass transfer switching device is proposed. When supply power is bypassed through a bypass switch, the interlock structure may prevent manual switching on an automatic transfer switch, and allow the automatic transfer switch to be input into a switchboard when power input directions of the bypass switch and the automatic transfer switch match with each other. The interlock structure includes: the automatic transfer switch having a lever input portion for manual switching of a normal supply and an alternative supply; the bypass switch configured to bypass electric power of the normal supply or the alternative supply supplied to a load side through the automatic transfer switch; and an interlock device configured to automatically close the lever input portion when the bypass lever is operated.

摘要： A touch safe system is provided for an electrical panel, such as a panel board or residential load center. The system includes a phase barrier to isolate branch connectors along a center portion of the electrical panel, a top central cover that snaps onto the phase barrier and two side bus covers. The side bus covers are arranged along opposite sides of the phase barrier over opposite side portions of the electrical panel. The system further includes snap-in filler plates to cover any exposed portion of a branch connector which is unoccupied by a circuit breaker. Each of the snap-in filler plates is secured between the top center bus cover and one of the side bus covers. A snap-in lug cover can also be provided for each circuit breaker on the panel, and secured between one of the side bus covers and a recessed portion of the circuit breaker.

A first shroud (6) mounted on the bus, includes a first gate (12). A second shroud (20) mounted on the MCC unit includes a second gate (24). When the MCC unit slides into an MCC section, a unit key (16) opens the first gate. When the stab is advanced toward the bus, a stab key (28) opens the second gate, forming a protective tunnel (30) from the flexible sheath and through the first and second shrouds. The protective tunnel protects the stab and bus from contamination, helps prevent dielectric breakdowns and short circuits between different phase busses, and protects an operator from electrical hazard of touching the bus or stab with tools or fingers.

摘要： A connection system for connecting electrical devices to busses within a switchgear cabinet includes an independently movable shutter that slides along a bus bar, the shutter covering access to the bus bar in a disconnected position and allowing access in a connected position. The bus bar has an insulator cap covering its free end. The shutter is mounted to a spring-biased support. The shutter has an opening through which the bus bar passes. The shutter slides along the bus bar backwardly away from the insulator cap, in the connected position. The shutter slides forwardly along the bus bar toward the insulator cap, in the disconnected position. The insulator cap fits closely within the opening in the shutter to prevent access to the bus bar when in the disconnected position. The shutter can fit within arc attenuating phase barriers surrounding each bus bar and be constructed to be arc resistant.
