    • A method for planning a telecommunication network for radio apparatuses includes a plurality of cells distributed over a geographical area, each of which has a set of elementary areas of territory called pixels adapted to receive a radio signal irradiated by a fixed radio base station in which for each cell is determined a service area of the location of the pixels of the cell in which the network is able to provide predetermined services to the mobile apparatuses located therein. The pixels belonging to the service area pertaining to a predetermined cell are identified according to a criterion for selection in succession based on the values of a sorting function, which is a function of the quantity of traffic pertaining to the pixels being examined, and the resulting service area is computed as a set of the pixels of the cell progressively selected in a manner that the sum of the contributions of the individual pixel does not exceed a predetermined limit value of the load factor of the cell. A computing system and a computing program or group of programs executable by the system and adapted to implement the method.

    • A workflow manager which executes software having one or more channels configured to communicate events-based messages between processes. Events are associated with transitions between states, which mark the progress of an order. An event remains in an associated channel for a period until is retrieved by a peripheral system or expired. When retrieved by a system, the event may trigger a task or process. The workflow manager further includes an event editor, coupled to the workflow manager and configured to retrieve a selected event for editing by a user. The event editor includes a graphical user interface allowing a user to define, monitor, or modify a workflow.

    • Presented is a graphical interface for managing at least reservations and jobs within a compute environment such as a cluster or a grid. A user can graphically view reservations and jobs in the environment and interact with the interface to modify and create reservations with a view of the current status of the resources, available resources and graphically see how proposed changes, additions or modifications of reservations would affect the environment. The invention may comprise a graphical user interface, a computing device for operating the graphical user interface, a computer-readable medium storing instructions for controlling a computing device to utilize the run the graphical interface, and methods of interacting with the user through the graphical user interface. Disclosed are various graphical windows that present in different ways past resource consumption, a current time and future resource predicted usage based on at least one of jobs running and reservations. The interface also includes a window that shows user credentials and dependencies between users, administrators and policies.

    • A method for simplifying display of complex network connections in a user interface. The method includes displaying a network topology display having multiple interconnected nodes. The nodes, such as network hubs or switches, are connected to one or more of the other nodes via line segments or connection paths. The segments are intentionally overlapped to simplify the visual representation of the network topology display. To remove ambiguity as to which nodes are connected to each other, the method includes using distinguishing connector segments to connect the orthogonal portions of the line segments or connection paths. The connector segments are configured to indicate which nodes are connected and may include any polygonal structure. In one embodiment, the connector segments comprise rounded corner connectors between two orthogonal segments that effectively indicate connected node pairs.
