    • A chamfering machine for both handheld and stationary use includes: a base having two arms extending toward one side; a motor provided on the base and having a driving shaft; a cutter provided on the driving shaft; a cutting seat consisting essentially of first and second panels; a first handle located between the arms and having two ends respectively provided at the arms; a second handle having one end provided at a bottom portion of the base and a body portion extending in a direction opposite the direction in which the arms extend; and at least one fixing element located below and connected to the arms and having a bottom end lower than the bottom end of the base, wherein the bottom end of the at least one fixing element has at least one connecting portion with at least one fixing hole for connecting to a tabletop.

    • An eyeglass lens processing apparatus includes: a setting unit which sets points on an edge of a lens, where a line on a target lens shape and passing through the first and second points intersects a line on the target lens shape and passing through the third and fourth points; and a calculating unit which: obtains a first plane including a bisection point between the first and second points and perpendicular to the first line; obtains a second plane including a bisection point between the third and fourth points and perpendicular to the second line; obtains an intersection line of the first and second planes; obtains a bevel spherical surface so that a center of the bevel spherical surface is located on the intersection line and passes through a desired edge position; and obtains the bevel path on the basis of the bevel spherical surface and target lens shape data.

    • A belt skiver is adapted for forming recesses along a conveyor belt end in preparation for mounting a lacing therein. The belt skiver includes a cutting mechanism movable relative to the conveyor belt end, and having an upper blade positioned to remove an upper surface layer from a top portion of the conveyor belt, and a lower plate positioned to remove a lower surface layer from a bottom portion of the conveyor belt. The belt skiver also includes a drive mechanism shifting the cutting mechanism relative to the belt end laterally along the belt end, and whereby the upper and lower blades contemporaneously sever both the upper surface layer and lower surface layer from the belt end.
