188 Crematory loader US348870 1989-05-08 US4890367A 1990-01-02 James P. Crawford
A crematory loader apparatus is provided for loading objects to be incinerated into a preheated crematory. The loader has a frame along with a slidable support surface attached to the frame for supporting an object thereon which slides in a track supporting the slidable top surface during sliding of the top surface between a first position for loading the object onto the slidable support surface and a second position canterlevering the slidable support surface into the crematory. A plurality of legs are attached to the frame and support the frame and the slidable support surface. A stop member is movably attached to the frame and has a first position out of the path of an object on the slidable support surface and a second position blocking the path of the object on the slidable support surface to block the movement of the object when the slidable top surface is moved from the second position to the first position to thereby force the object into the crematory as the slidable support surface is withdrawn from its second canterlevered position. The slidable support surface has rollers thereon with a ramp at one end with a roller thereon to slide an object off the slidable support surface. The support surface is moved by an electric motor driven chain drive.
189 Planter cremation vault US662361 1996-06-12 US5815897A 1998-10-06 C. Philip Longstreth
This invention is basically a planter combined with a cremation vault. The planter portion of the planter cremation vault is a cylindrical tube with a closed bottom. Within that tube is fitted a liner which is also a cylindrical tube with a closed bottom. Within the liner the dirt and the plants are placed. The cremation chamber is a tube adapted to attach to the planter. The cremated remains are placed within the cremation chamber. On top of the cremated remains a Styrofoam spacer is placed. On top the Styrofoam disk is placed a memorabilia container. The cremation chamber is sealed by attaching it to the planter. An extension cremation chamber may be added to place a second individuals remains. This extension cremation chamber would be adapted to thread within the cremation chamber and to allow the planter to thread within its top. The extension cremation chamber is a cylindrical container with a closed bottom. The planter is than attach to seal the extention cremation chamber.
190 Cremation niche US628461 1996-04-05 US5740637A 1998-04-21 William L. Snow
A cremation niche for holding the cremated remains of a deceased living being. The cremation niche includes a precast concrete block preferably having a size and consistency of a conventional cast building block. A cavity within the concrete block with access thereinto through an opening in the front upright surface of the concrete block provides access into the cavity for placing the cremated remains therein. A front face block matches the dimensions of the front surface of the concrete block and is connectable thereto by fasteners. A seal between the face block and the front face of the concrete block seals the cavity and protects the cremated remains. A separate molded plastic liner fitted into the cavity further enhances a hermetic seal within the cavity. Spacer tabs formed into one horizontal surface and one end surface of the concrete block enhance ease of building a wall of the filled and sealed niches with precise spacing between niches.
