PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an ink charging amount on a recess pattern and to make doctoring by suppressing an ink residue on an intaglio by providing an edge leveling portion passed through a gap on a surface of the intaglio, and an edge charging portion brought into contact with the surface of the intaglio and passing it. SOLUTION: The doctor blade 2 is constituted by integrating an edge leveling portion 2b with an edge charging portion 2a. The portion 2a is formed at its edge in a protruding shape such as a cutter edge or the like, and sharpness of an ink 107 is effectively provided at an end of a pattern while leveling the ink 107. Meanwhile, the portion 2b is formed in plane at its surface opposed to the surface of an intaglio 105, passed at a desired gap from the surface of the intaglio 105 to suppress a phenomenon of ejecting subsequently to a rake angle of a doctor by the ink 107, and a charging amount of the ink is assured. Thus, the ink charging amount on the pattern 1 is increased and hence stably ensured.

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of printing and massproducting property by providing a means for filling the concave section of a sheet-shaped plate with a printing liquid and members adapted to remove an excess of the liquid from the surface of the plate overlapping each other at least in two directions prior to the transfer. CONSTITUTION:For example, an ink fills a fine concave section 2 of a sheet- shaped plate 1 forming a letter of A. Then, a first blade provided for an ink removing mechanism is moved in the direction of the arrow 3 in contact with the plate surface whereby ink is completely raked off a smooth surface 4 thereof. On the other hand, a second blade is moved in the direction of the arrow 6 preferably at the right angle of the arrow 3 over the plate surface to rake excess ink off. Even if there formed a line 5 by the first blade and a line 7 by the second blade, removal of ink from the two directions only leaves unwanted ink in a small area at the intersection 8 between the two lines, in no way affecting the quality of printing.
