41 SECTIONAL STRUCTURE FOR CARPENTRY, PARTICULARLY ADAPTED TO REALIZE RACKS PCT/EP1985000603 1985-11-11 WO1986003265A1 1986-06-05 ITALTEL TECNOMECCANICA S.P.A.
The structure is of the type comprising a plurality of bars (1) and a plurality of joints (2). These latter mainly consist of a cubic body whose center area presents a cavity communicating with each of the six faces by way of a respective clearance hole. Three of such clearance holes are so structured as to receive the head of the relative screw, whose shank is screwed into anchorage elements joined to the bars (1). At least one of the remaining clearance holes is of threaded type. Coupling elements (20) and elastic plates are further described. The coupling element enables the joining two by two of sectional structures of the type described above; the elastic plates allow the locking of cross-bars (25) among pairs of bars (1). These latter and the joints (2) are the main elements of the frame which is the base of the sectional structure according to our invention.

55 STURDY LIGHTWEIGHT TABLE BASE AND METHOD US14961867 2015-12-07 US20170156486A1 2017-06-08 John Blick
A sturdy lightweight table support system offers advantages of self-squaring, sturdy design, a low unassembled volume combined with simple parts that enable easy assembly, a system that enables user specification of table size that will result in easily prepared components thus all but eliminating stocks of different sized components, and sturdy lockable height adjustments. The self-squaring is achieved with a corner bracket system that uses a corner bracket that is inset with respect to a cross member within which it is mounted so that bolted assembly will result in a large, even pressure about the butt end of the cross member against the post that is extremely resistive to angular displacement of the cross member with respect to the post in any direction.

A pipe connection, and method for forming said connection, wherein one pipe is connected at an angle to the side of a second pipe, said connection forming a structural joint and not a flow passage; a first pipe has a cylindrical opening formed in its side while a second pipe has one end contoured to fit against the side of said first pipe over said opening; said second pipe has a locking member fixed to the interior thereof with a projection which fits into the opening in said first pipe with said projection having a stem extending therefrom having an enlarged head which projects into the interior of said first pipe; a holding clip is positioned between the underside of said enlarged head and the inner surface of said first pipe forcing the contoured end of said second pipe against the side of said first pipe. When the pipe material used is PVC, ABS, or any other plastic with similar characteristics of resiliency and bond-ability, the diametrical contour at the end of said second pipe is formed having a diameter which is slightly smaller than that of the first pipe.
60 Improved structure for connecting a leg to a massive body US849507 1977-11-07 US4199124A 1980-04-22 Hiroki Tachida
A leg is coupled to one half of the connecting structure, e.g. a detachable seat, via screw engagement and the latter is coupled, via wedge engagement to be established by projections formed thereon, to the other half of the connecting structure, e.g. a fixed seat, mounted to the bottom of a massive body such as a keyboard musical instrument, a larger sized television set and a heavy table. Registration of the leg at the correct position and the above-described wedge engagement are carried out simply by sliding the one seat against the other seat with alleviated trouble in the collimation work, reduced damage on the thread construction and stabilized support for the massive body.
