摘要	PURPOSE: The whole part or a part of MANRYO (an evergreen bush, Ardisia crenata) or their dried products or extract is used to produce the objective agent for combatting pest organisms, which can be used as an excellent insecticide, acaricide, antifeedant or growth inhibitor. CONSTITUTION: The whole part or a part (such as leaves, wood parts, fruits) is processed by physical means such as cutting or crushing to form a powder or juice. Or it is dried naturally or under heating or extracted. Then, the resultant powder, juice, dried product or extract is used to produce the objective agent for combatting pest organisms such as agricultural insect pests, e.g., rice plant hopper or aphid, insect pests in cereal storage, e.g., acarus or rice weevil, unpleasant insects, e.g., ixodid, centipode or millipede, hygienic insect pests, e.g., fly, mosquito or cockroach or forestry insect pests, e.g., termites or wood borers.
