    • The present baby carriage has a pusher rod (2) which can be pivoted to selectively assume a back-fronting push position or a face-fronting push position with respect to the baby sitting in the baby carriage. A mechanism for changing the direction of the pusher rod (2) comprises a slider (5) slidably mounted on the pusher rod (2), a connecting member (37) having a predetermined length, its opposite ends being pivotally connected to the slider (5) and the upper end of a front leg (16), respectively, a stopper (42) mounted to be slidable along the longitudinal direction of the connecting member (37), and a stop plate (50) formed with first and second recesses (51, 52) engageable with one end (47) of the stopper (42) at different positions on its circumferential surface and fixedly mounted on the upper end of the front leg (16). The direction of the connecting member (37) is changed back and forth with respect to the upper end of the front leg (16) in response to the engagement of the stopper (42) with either the first recess (51) or the second recess (52), whereby the pusher rod (2) at its changed position is fixed.

    • An emergency locking device equipped with a safety belt retractor wherein a reel (2) for winding a safety belt (1) thereon is rotatably mounted on a fixed reel support (4) with a shaft (3) fixed to the reel (2) being journaled on the support (4) and the reel (2) is biased to rotate in a belt rewinding direction by a return spring (5). In order to initiate the locking operation of the emergency locking device, there is provided a locking initiating inertia member (21) having its peripheral surface radially offset from the central axis of the shaft (3). The locking initiating inertia member (21) is rotatably mounted on the shaft (3). The movement of the locking initiating inertia member (21) is transmitted to a locking transmission pawl 19, the locking transmission pawl (19) is then engaged with one of inner ratchet teeth (14) of a drum-shaped clutching wheel (12) whereby the rotation of the shaft (3) is transmitted to the clutching wheel ( 12), the rotation of which makes a locking pawl 9 moved to be engaged with a ratchet wheel (8) fixed to the reel (2), so that the rotation of the shaft (3) is prohibited and, therefore, the withdrawal of the safety belt (1) is consequently prohibited.

    • A foldable baby carriage has a pair of front legs and a pair of rear legs, with each rear leg being pivotally connected to the intermediate portion of the associated front leg and rearwardly downwardly extending therefrom. An angle bar is pivotally supported above the upper surface of each rear leg intermediate between the ends of the latter and has a pusher rod pivotally connected thereto. With the baby carriage in the opened state, the angle bar is substantially in line with the associated pusher rod portion. With the baby carriage in the closed state, the angle bar and the associated pusher rod portion are in bent relation to each other, thus reducing the vertical dimension of the baby carriage and at the same time reducing the distance between the front legs and between the rear legs and the distance between the front and rear legs, thereby establishing the folded state of the baby carriage.

    • An infant walking trainer can be folded by easy operation. The infant walking trainer includes a lower circular frame provided with a plurality of wheels, an upper circular frame confronting the lower circular frame, a lower supporting rod pivotally and rotatably projecting from the lower circular frame, and an upper supporting rod pivotally and rotatably depending from the upper circular frame.
