摘要： A marking pen having a deformable tip, and adapted to apply ink or the like to a surface in a stroke of uniform width. The deformable tip has a pocket or recess in its marking surface, that allows a leading edge of the tip that is applied to a surface to be marked, to remain substantially a straight line during the marking stroke, rather than curling at its edges and producing a stroke of lesser width. A scraping blade is also provided carried by the pen, preferably by a cap for the pen, and can have barbs that securely engage it in a recess of the pen or cap for the pen. The invention is particularly useful in marking numbered zones of lottery cards, and in scraping away opaque layers for instant lottery cards or tickets.

A dial (184) is eccentrically mounted on the body (114) in the path of movement of a slide (124) and is rotatable to adjustably limit the extend of projection of the cutting edge (122) of the blade (120) into the crevice (18). The dial prevents the blade from spanning the crevice entirely.

摘要： A page turning device is mountable on an end of a writing implement or similarly other shape element for enabling a user to more easily turn paper sheets. The page turning device is formed of a deformable elastic material. The elastic material is formed so as to basically provide a sheath-like female receptacle for receiving an implement end and further includes an outer sheet-engaging surface. The outer sheet-engaging surface provides gripping action at a paper sheet surface for enabling the user to turn paper sheets. The female receptacle is characterized by including an end-receiving mouth, a receptacle bottom, and a series of inwardly and radially extending rib formations. Each rib formation has an innermost edge, each of which are elastically deformable when receiving the implement end. Each rib formation directs restorative forces toward the implement end for holding the page turning device upon the implement end.
