摘要： A lock plate for use as a guard for a latch bolt of a spring lock. The lock plate has a flat face portion with a curved first end and an L-shaped second end including a curved outwardly and forwardly extending arm. A recess is formed in the flat face portion from which a tongue extends. The lock plate is configured to nest on a striker plate of a spring lock for attachment with same screws by which the striker plate is attached to a door jamb. The outwardly and forwardly extending arm and the tongue blocking access to the latch bolt by a foreign object such as a credit card.

The deadbolt may include chamfers or tapered surfaces extending from side surfaces of the deadbolt toward a face of the deadbolt. The rollers may extend beyond the face, one of the side surfaces, and/or one of the tapered surfaces. As the bolt moves from a retracted position to an extended position, one of the rollers may engage an edge of an opening in a strike plate, for example when the deadbolt is misaligned with the strike plate opening. As the rollers engage the edge, the deadbolt may be urged to a more aligned position.

The combination lock member (4) has a plurality of combination dials (26) that are independently rotatable about a common axis and houses a locking column (30) that is biased towards a locking position where it engages with the locking pin (6) when the window or- door is closed. The locking column (30) is movable between the locking position and a retracted position where it does not engage with the locking pin (6) when the window or door is closed only when the plurality of combination dials (26) are in a predetermined alignment. When the window or door is closed, the locking pin (6) is received in an opening (40) in the combination lock member (4) and engages with the locking column (30) when the locking column is in the locking position to prevent the opening of the window or door.
