    • A vacuum fixed adhesively secured fastener comprises a body member (24) having a vacuum cup (26) for flattening against a substrate (22) to temporarily hold the body member (24) against the substrate (22). A reservoir (32) is adapted to contain a quick setting adhesive (30) which is expelled from the reservoir into the interface (28) between the substrate (22) and the body member as a plunger (45) displaced into the reservoir during flattening of the vacuum cup. The quick setting adhesive secures the body member (24) to the substrate (22). In a modification a plunger (106) is displaced into the reservoir (104) as the fastener is pressed toward the substrate (22) through application of pressure on the plunger (106).
