    • A multipurpose tool for maintaining a rifle, comprising a planar body including a wider portion and a narrower portion of a first edge and a curved transition portion therebetween, wherein the narrower portion terminates in a hook-shaped element having a flat portion whose dimension is less that the outer diameter of a bolt piston of the rifle; an arm pivotably attached to the planar body and terminating in first and second prongs defining a notch sized to fit over a front sight adjusting screw of an AR or AK type rifle; and a pin pivotably joining the planar body and the arm. The body may further comprise a notch formed in a second edge opposite the first edge for assisting in disengaging a gas tube release lever of the rifle. The body may further comprise a scraper sized to fit within the gas block of the rifle.

    • A sight pushing apparatus for use in adjusting a gun slide sight element includes a block member having exterior side, front, rear, top, and bottom walls. The block member defines an interior area having an upper cavity extending between the opposed front and rear walls and a lower cavity extending between the opposed front and rear walls. The lower cavity includes a first internal side wall and an opposed second side wall configured to receive the gun slide therebetween. The sight element of the gun slide is situated in the upper cavity when the gun slide is received in the lower cavity. A pushing member selectively extends through a side wall into the upper cavity. A jaw member is situated in the upper cavity adjacent the sight element, the jaw member configured to bear against the sight element when urged by the pushing member.

    • The telescopic sight alignment tool is used to align the horizontal and vertical axes of the scope with corresponding axes of the firearm upon which the scope is mounted. The tool comprises a unitary structure having a plate with a vertical crosshair alignment slit, with an ocular seat extending forward from the lower portion of the plate. Upper and lower alignment indicators extend from the plate. Alternative embodiments provide variations upon the alignment indicators. The tool is placed upon the ocular of the scope and secured adjustably thereon with an elastic band. The tool is rotated to align the slit precisely with the vertical crosshair of the scope. The scope is then rotated in its mounts until at least one of the indicators of the tool is aligned with an element of the firearm, e.g., front sight, tang of the action, etc., and the mounts tightened to secure the scope.

    • A method of aligning a point of aim with a point of impact for a projectile device is disclosed. Using at least one superposition device coupled to the projectile device, multiple optical reference points are superposed within a first target area. Positions for at least two of the optical reference points are noted. A projectile is shot from the projectile device at a second target area, while the positions of the at least two optical reference points are maintained, to create the point of impact. The point of aim for the projectile device is adjusted to correspond with the point of impact while the positions of the at least two optical reference points are maintained. A system for aligning a point of aim with a point of impact for a projectile device is also disclosed.

    • The telescopic sight ring mounts alignment tool is an elongate, rigid, unitary, monolithic, solid bar having an outside diameter fitting closely within the mounting rings for a telescopic sight on a firearm. The tool may be used to secure dovetail mount-type scope rings to the firearm by securing the tool within each ring separately, and torqueing the tool to secure each ring in sequence. Alignment of rings of any mounting configuration with the barrel bore is checked by securing the tool within both rings and checking alignment of the beveled conical rear and the tapered front tip of the tool, respectively, with the receiver tang and the barrel of the firearm. The tool may be manufactured with an outside diameter dimensioned and configured to fit different inside diameter rings. Alternatively, different diameter sleeves may be provided to adapt a single tool for use with different inside diameter rings.
