    • A multi-functional clothes hanger adapted for wall mounting comprises a rear mounting bracket having an upper shelf portion for receiving small articles extending outwardly therefrom, an upper portion extending outwardly from beneath the small article receptacle and curving upwardly therefrom terminating in a recessed hook portion to receive a hat or coat hanger thereon, and a pants hanger affixed to the bracket at one end with an intermediate portion extending outwardly therefrom and an outer portion with a tree end extending substantially parallel to the bracket. The clothes hanger also includes a recessed control portion in the bracket adapted to receive the mating upper end of a multi-purpose hanger with a portion thereof located in a slot in the upper portion and an outwardly projecting members at the outer ends of the multi-purpose hanger to accommodate coat hooks and the like.

[Class 52 (v)] [Also in Group XVII] A device for supporting. hats by the brims in hat boxes or on stands comprises a substantially flat cone 8 of sheet material the angle of which may be varied so that its slope may be made to conform with that of the brim. As shown the cone has a radial slit 12 and a central aperture 10 by which it is clamped to the stand 3 ; the portions on each side of the slit are overlapped and secured by a spring clip 16. In order to centre the hat on the cone an arcuate member 28 adapted to engage the crown is fixed to an extensible strip 24 hooked over the aperture 10. Fig. 7 shows the cone inserted into a hat box, the central aperture in this case being substantially equal in size to the crown and the overlapping portions being secured in position by pins 132. A number of cones may be superposed in spaced relation within the box, being carried by arms adjustable on a vertical rod fixed to the side wall of the box.

[Class 52 (v)] [See also Group VII] A stand or block for hats comprises a hollow dome 1 of buckram moulded to shape provided with legs or supports 4 so arranged that they can be moved or folded into the hollow dome when not required. The edge of the dome 1 is secured to an oval wire frame 2 and the legs 4 are pivoted to plates 3 projecting up into the dome at opposite sides. Each leg 4 consists of a length of wire bent to form a triangle, the side of which are extended at 4 and bent outwards to contact with the ring 2, the free ends being bent towards one another and engaged in a curl 3 on the plate 3. Instead of being hinged the legs can be arranged to slide into and out of the hollow member. The stand may be left in a hat when carried in a box or case, to act as a block for retaining the shape.
