SOLUTION: The mounting member 2 is mounted on the hand piece 1. Plural arm insertion holes 2b are formed in the mounting member 2, and the arms 3 are arranged in parallel keeping a prescribed gap on the outer peripheral part of the hand piece 1. In this way, the suction port 1d of the hand piece 1 and the elimination plate 4 at the tip of the arm 3 are inserted into an oral cavity only by a grip operation with one hand, and positioning in the neighborhood of teeth is performed. Namely, the hand piece 1 and the elimination plate 4 at the tip of the arm 3 as a compression exhauster are handled simultaneously with one hand.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent an appliance from touching the teeth and gingivae which are not to be treated and the consequent damage thereof during the treatment by fitting and mounting an elastic member which has a shape complying with the dental arch of the upper jaw and the lower jaw and has a U shape in its cross section to the dental arch of the upper jaw and the lower jaw, thereby protecting the teeth. CONSTITUTION:This protective piece 1 consisting of an elastic piece has a shape, the entire part of which complies with the dental arch 10. Its sectional shape is a U shape and the protective piece is used by fitting and mounting the piece to the dental arch of the upper jaw and/or the lower jaw. The protective piece 1 is constituted of a rear arch surface part 3 connected at a front arch surface part 2 and both ends and a base part 4 constituting the bases thereof. The front arch surface par 2 side is formed to have a small thickness and the rear arch surface part 3 side is formed to have a large thickness. Further, an elastic material of metal or plastic is provided on the rear arch surface part 3 side. At least the front arch surface part 2 side of the protective piece 1 is made transparent, translucent or to the color approximate to the color of teeth. As a result, the dental arch of the upper jaw or lower jaw having no relation with the treatment is protected during the treatment in a dental hospital or the teeth are protected against dust.

These openings are made smaller than the real diameter of the tooth so as to be elastically and tightly fitted around the tooth.
