    • A device for exerting force between two portions of the human anatomy, such as a back or neck. The device includes an upper brace for attachment to an upper portion of the human anatomy and a lower brace for attachment to a lower portion of the human anatomy. The first and the second fluid containing cylinder, each cylinder having a lower portion and a telescopically extendable upper portion, have attachment means thereon and extend generally in a longitudinal direction of a patient. The first cylinder upper portion is attached to the upper brace, the first cylinder lower portion is attached to the lower brace. The second cylinder upper portion is attached to the upper brace and the second cylinder lower portion is attached to the lower brace. The first and second cylinders are positioned on opposite sides of the human anatomy with the fluid within the cylinders being compressive and under compression providing a constant force urging the upper brace away from the lower brace. The upper brace has an articulation mechanism for providing mobility to the patient.

    • An improved hands-free adult sexual apparatus or adult toy for use by women or men. The apparatus is secured onto the user, or the user's clothing or belt, in a harness-like assembly and is also partially restrained to a fixed object. In one embodiment, a dildo or other phallic device is secured to a supportive backing while elastic straps allow the user to comfortably utilize the invention. A restraining line partially secures movement of the dildo or phallic device while the user manipulates the elastic straps. In another embodiment, the phallic device has a lubricant chamber that is activated by a user controlled trigger to permit the user to add lubricant as desired to the phallic device. In another embodiment, the invention has instead a sheathing device for use by males.

    • A thumb wrist splint with a main body portion which includes a plurality of straps for encircling the wrist and securing the same firmly to the wrist with desirable palmar and dorsal stays. A sewn thumb spica/splint is fabricated, and finished by normal binding around the periphery. The thumb strap loop is fixed to the splint and a removable securable anchor is also applied to the spica/splint. The spica/splint is a VOLARA® grade polyolefin closed foam material which is desirably laminated to nylon cloth on one side. The sewn thumb spica is secured to the main body portion. Thereafter, the entire blank, as just described, is positioned over an anvil intended to form a curvilinear pattern to the thus encapsulated VOLARA® so that it will conform to the upper portion of the wrist. Once secured in place on the wrist by means of the straps around the wrist portion, the thumb strap is secured. A web is applied for assistance to convert the entire splint into a sock like configuration into which the wrist and hand are inserted. The method contemplates heat softening the blank and thereafter positioning the same over an Anvil or male mold, and pressure engaging the upper portion with a mating female mold which will cause the VOLARA® to take on the shape of the male/female mold relationship and reshape to a new form.

    • An orthopaedic support fastening system which incorporates a “one-size-fits-all” concept for support of various human limbs. The design itself comprises a substantially flat sheet of sheet material having extending straps and slot apertures. The slot apertures, used for receiving straps, provide increased stability and support once the limb is properly positioned. The preferred means of securing the straps to the support is by the use of hook and loop material although other means of attachment can be used such as snaps.

    • A wrist splint assembly for being custom-fitted to a hand and wrist to be supported. The wrist splint assembly includes a first splint for being positioned against and formed to the volar aspect of the hand and wrist, and a second splint for being positioned against and formed to the dorsal aspect of the hand and wrist. Each of the first and second splints defines a concave side edge extending inwardly toward the longitudinal axis of the splint for permitting ease of movement of the thumb and associated carpometacarpal joint of the hand against which the splint is positioned. Each splint also includes an inner cushion layer, an initially flexible intermediate layer overlying the inner cushion layer, and a flexible outer layer. The intermediate layer is a substrate impregnated with a moisture-curable resin that hardens upon curing to form a rigid structure of the substrate that retains a shape into which it is molded during curing for maintaining the flexible inner cushion layer in a conforming shape against the hand and wrist. A support retains the first and second splints in position on the hand and wrist during use of the splint assembly.

    • The present disclosure relates to penile implants that are easier to implant and reduce trauma because they provide for a smaller effective width during implantation, after implantation, or both. The present disclosure also provides for a shorter tubing junction while reducing effective width, further reducing trauma to the body. In a first aspect, the penile implant includes a tubing junction that is smaller in effective diameter while implanted in the body. The penile implant includes an axially extending cylinder having an inflation chamber and a rear tip. The cylinder also includes a tubing junction disposed between the inflation chamber and rear tip and extending from the cylinder. The tubing junction includes a bore in fluid communication with the inflation chamber. In one example, this bore is in the strain relief of the tubing junction. The bore is configured to include a compound curve. In another aspect, the penile implant includes a tubing junction that can assume a smaller effective diameter while being implanted into the body. The surgeon is able to press the tubing against the cylinder than the related art to reduce the effective area of the penile implant. This penile implant includes a cylinder having an inflation chamber and a rear tip. A tubing junction is disposed between the inflation chamber and the rear tip. The tubing junction includes a strain relief that extends from the cylinder and forms an acute area proximate the intersection of the cylinder and the strain relief. The acute area includes a keyhole.
