摘要： PURPOSE:To separate rapidly the chaff from a group of kernels by bringing an electrode body impressed with a high DC voltage obliquely close to the surface of the group of kernels by keeping a specified interval, and allowing the leading end of the electrode body to face over a chaff receiving case at the outside of the group of kernels. CONSTITUTION:The mixed granules of chaff and uncleaned rice flowing down over an inclined plate 1 from a supply funnel 2 proceed to the lower surface of an electrode body 4 charged with static electricity by impressing a high DC voltage. The chaff charged with static electricity is separated from the group of kernels by Coulomb's force, attracted by the electrode body 4, snatching at the electrode, losing the static electricity immediately, dropping from the electrode, and again attracted by the electrode body 4. While repeating said process, the chaff is gradually moved obliquely under the guidance of the electrode body 4, and dropped into a chaff receiving case 5 at the outside of the inclined plate 1 from the leading end of the electrode. Meanwhile the uncleaned rice insensible to the electrode body 4 is dropped into an uncleaned rice receiving case 3 along the inclined plate 1.
