摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing a false twist yarn, capable of carrying out smooth collection and draft of a sliver and further, carrying out fine spinning step following these steps in good reliability. SOLUTION: This method for producing a false twist yarn comprises dividing two slivers fed in parallel from a drawframe, collecting the divided sliver in parallel state and doubling, twisting and winding the collected sliver by a twisting device twisting the slivers together. This apparatus for producing a false twist yarn is equipped with a collecting device 11 for feeding two slivers 10 and 10' in a pair of front rollers 4, separately collecting each of both slivers 10 and 10', a drawframe 1 provided with a perforation 16 under air suction and devices 37 and 44 for doubling into false twist yarn 50 and fixing the yarn by applying twist to the collected sliver.

In this case, the yarn loosening member 14 is introduced into a spinning centrifugal apparatus 3 rotating at a high number of revolutions and applied to the package cone 32 of a spinning cake 15 deposited on the inner wall 26 of a spinning centrifugal apparatus 3 with the cutting blade 16.
