    • The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring weight of a bead, which is one of semi-finished products of a tire. More specifically, the present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring weight of a finished bead which automatically measures weight of a finished bead for integrated management of bead weight, thereby improving productivity of a tire. The apparatus for measuring weight of a finished bead includes a stacking stand (100) for finished beads; and a plurality of weight measuring beams (1) extended and installed at an upper portion with respect to the stacking stand (100) in four horizontal directions, wherein a front end of each of the weight measuring beams (1) includes a bead fixing portion (2); a bead mounting space (3); a weight measuring rod cell (4) integrally in contact with the bead fixing portion (2); and a sheet hanging stand (5) having a sheet separating plate (9), and the bead fixing portion (2) and the sheet hanging stand (5) are formed in a structure including cylinder operation units (6a, 6b, 6c) applying to each of the bead fixing portion (2) and the sheet hanging stand (5).

    • A method and system for automated grading of elongated wooden objects where in a strength grading measuring apparatus transfers a single calibrated impulse to a longitudinal end face of the object. A sensor measures the reflection of the impulse and a signal processing device determines one or more parameters related to the strength of the wooden object. A weighing device determines the weight of the object and the signal processing device usesthe weight in a determination of the density which is included in the determination of a strength grade attributed to the object. A computer controlled robot has a movable arm and a gripper attached to the armto grip the wooden object.The robot has an operative reach that includes the measuring position allowing the robot to transfer the wooden object to and/or from the measuring position. The method includes an automated routine that comprises operating the gripper to grip a wooden object, operating the robot so as to transfer the gripped wooden object to and/or from the measuring position, weighing the wooden object, and operating the strength grading measuring apparatus, wherein the signal processing device attributes a strength grade to the wooden object.
