    • In the electric timer having an analog time display and a disk-or ring-shaped program carrier programmable by means of slide contacts, the program carrier is settable selectively by means of a switching device to different synchronous speeds of rotation, namely one revolution per week or one revolution per day. To this end two drive rings concentric with the axis of rotation of the program carrier are provided, of which one revolves at a speed of one revolution per day and the other at one revolution per week. The program carrier can be coupled selectively with one of the two drive rings by means of a coupling member adjustable to radii of different size on the same radius vector. While the drive ring revolving at the slow speed can be coupled with the program carrier in seven different angular positions, for the drive ring which revolves once a day only a single angular position exists in which it can be coupled with the program carrier.

    • An electronic watch has a mechanical analog time-display with hour, minute and second hands. The watch has gear trains disposed in a portion adjacent the axis of the minute hand, and two motors disposed adjacent the gear train for driving the minute hand, hour hand and second hand. A stem is axially shiftably provided adjacent the gear train, and a lever assembly such as a setting lever, clutch lever and sliding clutch wheel is disposed adjacent the stem. A battery is disposed between the lever assembly and one of the motors, and a circuit chip is disposed between the motors.

    • An alarm clock comprises at least one rotationally driven rotatable time wheel, at least one rotatable detecting wheel rotatable relative to the time wheel to phases corresponding to alarm signaling times by an alarm signaling time setting wheel, and a time detecting switch having an open switching state when the time wheel is out of phase with the detecting wheel and switchable to a closed switching state when the time wheel rotates into phase with the detecting wheel to thereby enable the sounding of an alarm at preselected alarm signaling times. The time detecting switch comprises a slide switch comprising one of the time and detecting wheels being comprised of a one-piece structure composed of electrically conductive material and having a gear teeth portion for meshing with another gear and having a first set of projections which define the contact points of the slide switch, and the other of the time and detecting wheels being composed of electrically insulating material and having a switch plate connected thereto having a contact portion for making sliding electrical contact with the first set of projections.

    • In a battery powered alarm clock, an alarm switching device comprises at least one detecting wheel whose phase is set in accordance with the desired alarm time, at least one detecting switch which is closed when the phase of the time wheel of the clock corresponds to that of the detecting wheel and a printed circuit board having alarm circuitry mounted thereon with at least one land for connecting the alarm circuitry to one pole of the battery. The alarm switching device construction provides solderless connection by at least two battery contact plates for contacting the two poles of the battery. One of the plates provides three electrical contacts including a first contact with one pole of the battery, a second contact with the land on the printed circuit board and a third contact with the detecting switch, whereby the assembly and construction of the clock is greatly simplified.
