    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of suppressing a deterioration in printing quality due to the vibration of a carrier.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly drive a conveyance roller along with drive of a drive motor while avoiding inclination of a planet gear arranged in a drive force transmission path from the drive motor to the conveyance roller in a scanner device.
      SOLUTION: The drive force transmission path is provided with a solar gear 31 driven by the drive motor, an arm 32 which is pivotally supported by the solar gear 31 and rotates and the planet gear 33 which is pivotally supported by the arm 32 so as to engage with the solar gear 31 and which engages with a transmission gear on the side of the conveyance roller when the drive motor is driven in a predetermined direction. At an axis part 33a of the planet gear 33, a coil spring 39 which energizes the planet gear 33 so as not to be inclined is wounded and rotation resistance is given to the planet gear 33. When the drive motor is temporarily drive and stopped in the direction opposite to the predetermined direction, the planet gear 33 stops a little away from the transmission gear and the time is reduced until the planet gear engages with the transmission gear when the drive motor is driven after that.
