    • An automatic document feeder includes a paper pick-up device, a transfer roller assembly, and a duplex feeding channel. The transfer roller assembly includes a shaft, a first roller, a second roller, a first idler, a second idler, and a power-coupling device. When the power-coupling device is connected with the shaft and the first roller for transmitting a paper, the first roller is driven to be rotated by the shaft. When the front edge of the paper is moved to the second roller, the first roller is driven to be rotated at a higher speed by the paper. Consequently, a power connection between the first roller and the shaft is released by the power-coupling device. Then, the first roller reaches a static status in order to correct the skew phenomenon of a next paper.

    • A mechanism for drawing superimposed webs in a rotary press comprises: a drag roller provided between a printing press and a folding machine so as to be rotated and driven at a peripheral velocity suitably higher than that of a plate cylinder; a plurality of propeller rollers operative for selective engagement with or disengagement from the edge portions at the respective sides of a plurality of printing webs which are superimposed upon each another and wound around the outer peripheral surface of the drag roller, the propeller rollers being rotatable and provided along the outer peripheral surface of the drag roller at both ends thereof; and pressing apparatus for pressing the propeller rollers onto the edge portions of the printing webs. The plurality of printing webs fed from the printing press, superimposed upon each another and wound around the outer peripheral surface of the drag roller, are respectively pressed along their edge portions at opposite sides thereof onto the outer peripheral surface of the drag roller by the plurality of propeller rollers and are simultaneously drawn by rotating and driving the drag roller, to be supplied to the folding machine.

    • A feeding apparatus for print media comprises a pressure roller that is provided at an upstream side of an image forming section in a feeding direction of the print media and rotates with being pressed onto an upper surface of a feeding path. The pressure roller includes a plurality of unit rollers aligned along a primary sweeping direction perpendicular to the feeding direction. A center unit roller of the unit rollers is made wider than other unit rollers in the primary sweeping direction. According to the apparatus, cocklings on print media can be removed at desired portions with a simple configuration by controlling suction forces due to varying relative positions to suction ports. Therefore, flatten state of print media in the image forming section can be easily ensured.
