摘要： Disclosed is a blade unit for a safety razor, comprising: a blade housing comprising a plurality of blades having respective cutting edges lying in a shaving plane and being arranged to exert a cutting action when moved across a user's skin in a shaving direction; and a guard in front of the cutting edges and a cap to the rear of the cutting edges, the guard including an elongate lubricating strip, the cap including a non-flexible concave back portion supporting a convex lubricating pad, the convex lubricating pad having a convex skin-contacting surface and a rear edge curved in a single arc shape along its entirety. No separate frame is provided around an outer perimeter for fixing the convex lubricating pad, so that the convex lubricating pad rear edge meets flush with the non-flexible concave back portion, providing a smooth, lubricated rear edge of the blade unit.

摘要： The liquid-dispensing razor provides liquid flow from a plurality of small pores or orifices immediately below the blade(s), to moisturize the beard at all times during shaving. The liquid is provided from a remote source (water tap or portable container) through a hose or line connected to the razor handle. The liquid flows through a passage through the handle, to the razor head, where it flows from the pores adjacent to the blade(s). The razor may include a control valve in the handle, or a remotely located foot-actuated valve may be provided in the water hose or line. A hand- or foot-actuated pump may be provided to create pneumatic pressure in the portable liquid container to force the liquid up through the line. The razor head may be removed to fill the hollow handle with shaving lather or gel, the liquid flow entraining the lather or gel for shaving.

The blade is preferably V- or U-shaped and permanently or removably supported by the limbs of a Y-shaped body with an extending hand group. The blade may be made from a single piece or form multiple segments with straight or curved cutting edges. The blade of blade segments may be fixed, such as by an adhesive, to a supporting carrier. Guard projections may extend from behind the cutting edge to beyond the cutting edge to reduce the likelihood of inadvertent contact with the blade edge while maintaining effective cutting action. In a method of use, the hair dressing device is manipulated so that the blade partly surrounds a cluster of hair strands and the device is moved to cut at least some of the strands of hair.
