    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging member for a glass substrate to be used in manufacturing an FPD and a method of feeding a FPD glass substrate, capable of simplifying the treatment of the glass substrate and the packaging member in a FPD production line and efficiently feeding the glass substrate by reducing the outer dimensions of a packing style during the feed.
      SOLUTION: The packaging member wraps one or both surfaces of glass substrates 5 and 5 to be used in manufacturing the FPD for feeding them. Its material is composed as a water-soluble film 14 which solves in the water. Thus pre-treatment of each glass substrate 5 in the FPD production line can be simplified, and also the outer dimension of the packing style when they are packed in an outer box 12 and a lid 13 for feeding can be reduced, whereby a plurality of substrates 5 can be efficiently carried.

    • PURPOSE:To grind a cylinder wall of an engine sufficiently, by making a ratio between stroke displacement speed and rotational direction displacement speed of a grindstone small at around the deepest position at the combustion chamber side at the time of coarse finish, and making the ratio uniform at the time of finish. CONSTITUTION:At the time of honing coarse finish, the stroke displacement in the axial direction of a cylinder 11 is temporarily stopped at the lowest end position for the stroke displacement of a grindstone 5; and if rotation alone is conducted during that period, the grinding amount for the lower part of a cylinder wall 11A, which is adjacent to a curved surface 11B, is increased; therefore, insufficient grinding does not happen; the precision of cylindrical degree for the cylinder wall 11A, even for holes which are not bored through, is improved. However, on the lower part of the cylinder wall, a pattern in which grooves in parallel emphatically runs is given; under this condition, forming of oil film becomes uneven. Because of thin, for the finishing stage, the ratio between stroke displacement speed and rotational direction displacement speed of the grindstone is made uniform; if the grindstone is made to stroke continuously while rotating, on the whole surface of the cylinder wall 11A, a uniform crosshatch pattern is completed.

      SOLUTION: In the packing method for the hot-melt adhesive, the adhesive and a surface protective resin are separately melted by set of a main extruder 1 and a sub-extruder 2 or set of a pump and an extruder. Both the melted resin and adhesive are joined to a common extruding head portion 3 in their pasty state and then the adhesive is directly continuously packed with the cylindrical surface protective resin.
