    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system capable of reproducing video contents and collateral information synchronously with each other even if the video contents and the collateral information are distributed from different places. SOLUTION: A video content distributor 1 in the information distribution system distributes contents including video and audio in a streaming distribution way and transmits a transmission start time of the contents. A collateral information content distributor 2 distributes the collateral information on the basis of the content transmission start time transmitted from the video content distributor 1. A client terminal 3 reproduces the video and audio from the video content distributor 1 and the collateral information from the collateral information content distributor 2 synchronously with each other. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically reduce cost required for a transmission line by accumulating and preserving an ATM cell received from a video server once in a video storage part in an access node, and allotting the accumulated ATM cell at proper timing. SOLUTION: In a near video on-demand system, before compressed video information resolved into the ATM cell is outputted from the video server 1, and is allotted directly to a set top box(STB) 4 connected to a TV set in each user home, one access node 3 is installed for every 8 subscribers, for instance. The access node 3 is provided with the video storage part and an allotment control part, and the cell received from the video server 1 is accumulated and preserved once here. The cell preserved here is allotted to the STB 4 of a user through an optical fiber 103 only at time selected by the user at the predetermined time (e.g. every 15min). Thus, traffic between the video server 1 and the access node 3 is reduced, and the cost required for the transmission lines 101, 102 and a sub-network 2, etc., is curtailed remarkably.

    • PURPOSE:To transmit a STM signal having even any frame structure through an ATM network by installing a pointer in a cell information field. CONSTITUTION:A STM transmission signal is treated for STM signal frame synchronism detection by the existing network interface section 1 to convert it to transmission data and a transmission frame synchronous signal that indicates the leading position of frame. These are sent to an assembly section 2 and are cellulated therein. The transmission cell, after it is treated for cell multi-conversion based on the format at a user network interface section 4, is sent as an ATM transmission signal to the ATM network. On the other hand, the ATM receiving signal, by treating it for cell separation conversion based on the format at the interface section 4, obtains a receiving cell, and outputs the receiving cell to a cell disassembly section 3. Pointer is interpreted, receiving data that detected the leading position of frame of the STM signal in the cell and a receiving frame synchronous signal, after it is converted to a signal format for STM signal at the interface section 1, is sent out as a STM receiving signal.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator system capable of avoiding riding of a user whose personal identification information is registered and a user whose personal identification information is not registered together in a cage and having the user whose personal identification information is registered comfortably ride in the cage. SOLUTION: A control board 4 controls driving of the cage 3 including an elevator arranging order to each of floor elevator platforms of the building 1. A touch-panel type call registration device 5 and a riding personal identification device 6 are respectively provided on each of the floor elevator platforms of the building 1. The riding personal identification device 6 discriminates whether the user is a dweller or a visitor by reading the personal identification information stored in an IC card 7 which the user holds. Additionally, the riding personal identification device 6 carries out individual attestation of the dweller in accordance with the read personal identification information and sends the read personal identification information and information of a call registration demand to the control board 4. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control device capable of further reducing deterioration in service due to failure of a drive part. SOLUTION: When any one of the drive part among a plurality of drive parts is failed, a central control 30 selects operation according to difference of generatable driving force and required driving force. When the generatable driving force has an allowanace to the required driving force, usual operation is continued, and when the generatable driving force and the required driving force are in the approximately same level, a car 10 is lifted at a low speed. Further, when the generatable driving force is short to the required driving force, the car 10 is lifted while it is braked to a landing floor in the lifted direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically change a display position of a subtitle so that the display position is not overlapped with that of the subtitle.
SOLUTION: A subtitle data analysis part 3 extracts subtitle sentence data and subtitle position information, which are included in a subtitle packet elementary stream. A picture recognition part 2 searches the display position of the open caption included in a video signal and outputs open caption display position information. A telop display information generation part 4 calculates a position on which the subtitle is actually to be displayed based on subtitle position information and open caption display position information, and outputs position information after the subtitle is corrected. A subtitle sentence data correction part 5 outputs corrected subtitle sentence data obtained by correcting display position information of the subtitle included in subtitle sentence data based on position information after the subtitle is corrected. A subtitle decoding part 6 generates a bit map of the subtitle from the corrected subtitle sentence data.
