    • A de-duster for a moving printing material web includes at least one blower nozzle assigned to a first side of the printing material web, and at least one blower nozzle assigned to a second side of the printing material web. The blower nozzles are set counter to web travel direction at an angle null. The de-duster further includes at least one extraction nozzle assigned to the first side of the printing material web, and at least one extraction nozzle assigned to the second side of the printing material web. The extraction nozzles are set counter to the web travel direction at an acute angle null. Each of the at least one blower nozzle is disposed between the at least one extraction nozzle at a respective side of the printing material web and the respective side of the printing material web. A combination of the de-duster and a cutting device, a folder with the combination, and a web-processing printing press in combination with the folder, are also provided.

    • A web cleaner (20) for removing debris that clings to the surface of a substrate during a printing process. The cleaner (20) uses a number of idlers (26) which hold a web (22) taut therebetween, with the web driven at high speeds by a printing press (24). The cleaner (20) utilizes a pair of counter rotating, textured rollers (28) that are positioned between the idlers, with one roller positioned on each side of the web in close proximity therewith and each roller rotates in an opposite direction to that of the webs flowpath. A skiving bar (36) is positioned at an angle between 90 degrees to 180 degrees to the web bordering each roller in adjacent relationship for directing the air into a plenum (44) that covers each roller and skiving bar. The plenum (44) is used to collect the debris detached from the web surface by air currents formed by rotation of the rollers creating an air film on the web surface. The same air currents also produce a positive air pressure within the plenum. A dust collector (50) is connected to each plenum for accumulating debris dislodged from the web surface.

    • A device in a paper machine or in a finishing device of a paper machine for removing dust in which a blowing is directed at a web to cause the separation of dust from the web and a suction effect is applied to the web to remove the dust separated from the web. A vortex flow is produced before the dust separating blowing in the running direction of the web to prevent carriage of the dust into the environment and to compensate for the suction effect on the runnability of the web. In the device, blow elements produce a blowing that separates dust from the web and suction elements produce a suction effect so as to remove the dust that is separated out of connection with the web. The device includes an arrangement for producing a vortex flow before the dust separation blowing in the running direction of the web to prevent carriage of the dust into the environment and to compensate for the suction effect.
