The invention also relates to a colorant that can be produced by calcinating and, optionally, grinding a precipitated silica with a DOP oil absorption of at least 260 ml/100 g which has already been impregnated using an inorganic pigment in the form of a soluble salt, such as a soluble iron sulphate-based inorganic pigment. The colorant thus obtained can be used to dye ceramic materials, such as ceramic tiles, and bituminous or hydraulic binding materials.

摘要： In a method of preparing a composite flooring, a quantity of small stones is mixed with a predetermined quantity of liquid colorant in a mixing device for a predetermined period of time, to produce colored stones. The stones and colorant are in a ratio of about 400 lbs of stone to about 1 gallon of colorant. The colored stones are dried and are mixed with an epoxy resin. The mix of stones and epoxy resin is poured onto a floor surface and leveled, for example by troweling. One or more epoxy seal layers are thereafter preferably applied, and a wear layer of polyurethane is preferably applied over the one or more seal layers. A flooring sheet displaying a design, for use in a flooring system, is made by projecting an image of a predetermined design to be reproduced on a sheet surface; outlining said projected image on the sheet surface; providing raised divider members on said sheet surface, along said outline to define a divided design on said sheet surface, said divided design having sections which are to have given colors; and then pouring a mixture of color dyed stones and an epoxy resin into said sections of said divided design to reproduce colored portions of said design in said sections, to thereby form a design sheet member, which may be included in an above-described floor which is poured therearound.

摘要： The multifunctional paint is based on a highly porous inorganic substance created by a reaction of at least two components. TiO2 nanoparticles are attached to the surface of this substance. The first component is a water insoluble calcium compound and the second component is a water soluble sulfate. The method of applying the multifunctional paint on the surface is that the first component containing the water suspension of the insoluble calcium compound is applied on the treated area first and subsequently a mixture of TiO2 nanoparticles suspended in the water solution of the second component is applied over the first layer. Another way is to apply a water suspension of the first component containing also TiO2 nanoparticles on the treated surface and then deposit the water solution of the second component on the layer. A mixture of all components can be also applied on the treated area at once.
