    • An improved two-piece roof flashing (10) comprises a thermoplastic hard base (16) and an elastomeric rain collar (18). The rain collar (18) has a central opening (20) sized to accommodate an upstanding roof pipe (14). The rain collar (18) is molded directly onto the solid flange (30) of the hard base (16), with the resulting seam (24) between the rain collar (18) and hard base (16) being strong and weather-tight. When the collar (18) is molded onto the flange (30) of the base element (16), the materials of the collar (18) and flange (30) fuse together along the seam (24) between the collar (18) and base element (16). Additionally, with the collar (18) directly molded to the flange (30), the design of the flange (30) creates a lengthy path that water must traverse in order to penetrate the roof flashing (10).

    • A seal device (1) for waterproof sealing between a non-planar surface and an elongate member projecting through that surface. A mounting plate (2) has an access aperture (5) and is composed of metallic, non-resilient, manually deformable material. The sealing member (7) has an access passageway (9) for receiving the elongate member during device use so that the sealing member (7) engages the elongate member in a waterproof seal. The seal device (1) is produced by cutting the mounting plate (2) from sheet metal and then molding the sealing member (7) onto the plate (2) in a single molding operation.
