摘要： A handle set (30) comprises an elongated handle (40) that is attached to a corresponding door (32) at two spaced apart locations. A knob (42) is disposed on the door (32) opposite the handle (40). A retractor assembly (80) is interposed between the handle (40) and the knob (42). A handle spindle (62) extends from the handle (40), and a knob spindle (60) extends from the knob (42). The handle and knob spindle overlap one another, and are configured to move axially with one another. However, the knob spindle (60) can be rotated relative to the handle spindle (62). The spindles are configured to interact with the retractor assembly (80) so that pushing the handle (40) or pulling the knob (42) actuates the retractor to withdraw the latch bolt (50), or rotating the knob (42) actuates the retractor to withdraw the latch bolt (50).

摘要： An access-control system is provided for a door lock that is associated with a door and a rotatable doorknob. The access-control system includes a doorknob cover. A doorknob security system includes a doorknob cover that is adapted to be coupled to a doorknob that is associated with a door for movement relative to the doorknob. In illustrative embodiments, the doorknob security system further includes a non-operative movable DECOY lock-actuator button that is supported in a visible position adjacent to the doorknob cover for movement relative to the doorknob cover between a normal projected position and a temporary depressed position without activating an operative lock actuator that is linked to a door lock. The door lock is associated with the doorknob and cannot be unlocked regardless of how many times an unauthorized child or other unknowing child pushes the non-operative movable DECOY lock-actuator button.

摘要： A system for operating an electric door release having an actuator powered by an energy harvester. The actuator may be a piezoelectric actuator and the harvester may be a piezo harvester. The system may further include a power module, a rechargeable battery and a voltage boost circuit disposed between the energy harvester and the actuator. When a piezoelectric actuator is used, a recycle actuator discharge circuit may be disposed between the piezoelectric actuator and the power module battery for recapturing a portion of the energy delivered to the piezoelectric actuator. The piezoelectric harvester may include an energy input portion whereby the piezo electric harvester is excited by the energy input portion. The energy input portion may include a circular or linear driving gear for exciting the piezoelectric harvester or a stepper motor generator, driven by movement of a door. The harvester may also be a stepper motor/generator.
