      본 고안에 따른 새시용 고임목에 따르면, 다양한 두께로 제작됨과 동시에 복수 개로 고정 적층 결합이 될 수 있도록 하여 새시 지지 공간의 높이에 제약 없이 자유로운 변형을 줄 수 있다는 장점을 가지고, 표면 부위에 미끄럼 방지 기능을 하는 마찰 돌기를 형성하여 새시 내지 고임목 상호 간에 안전한 적층, 지지 상태를 가질 수 있으며, 결합부재 측으로 하중이 편중되는 현상을 방지하기 위해 중앙 부위에 하중을 유도하는 구성을 마련하여 고임목의 전체적으로 균일한 하중 분포를 가지도록 하여 내구성을 증강할 수 있다는 효과를 가진다.

    • 본 고안은 합성수지 재로 성형된 높이 및 길이조절이 가능한 쐐기에 관한 것이다.
      종래의 재래적인 방법으로는 나무를 삼각으로 뾰족하게 조각을 형성하여 쐐기를 만들어 끼워 조정하여 사용하였으나 단번에 맞추어지지 않기 때문에 여러 차례 쐐기를 다시 만들어 끼우면서 맞추게 됨으로 작업 소요시간이 많이 걸리게 되어 건축현장에 있어서의 공기 지연의 원인이 되고 쐐기의 표면이 평면으로 되어 미끄러져 되 빠지게 되는 결점이 있었으며 습기 있는 곳 등에서는 목재로 되어있기 때문에 썩게 되는 등 여러 가지의 문제점이 있었다.
      본 고안은 종래 나무를 조각 내어 여러 번 반복적으로 맞추어 작업하던 불편 없이 편리하게 높이나 폭을 조절할 수 있도록 쐐기를 사출금형에 의하여 합성수지 재로 성형하여 부품화 하므로 써 건축 기초공사 시는 물론이고 일반 가정이나 공장 등 어느 장소에서든지 각종의 물품을 편리하고 안전하게 고일 수 있도록 한 것이다.

    • The invention relates to a window mounting system comprising: a building facade having an interior face and an exterior face and comprising a window opening; and a window mounting collar formed from rigid thermal insulating material, the mounting collar having at least one inside face, at least one outside face, a first open end and a second open end; wherein the window mounting collar is affixed to the exterior face of the building facade so as to surround the window opening and extend outwards from the exterior face of the facade, such that the first end of the mounting collar is proximal to the building facade and the second end of the mounting collar is distal from the building facade; wherein the system further comprises a window frame arranged in the mounting collar such that the window frame is separated from the plane of the exterior face of the building facade by at least 10 mm.

    • A shim holder includes a body having a center panel, a pair of middle panels connected to the center panel, and a pair of outer panels connected to the middle panels and adapted to be fixed to a surface to be shimmed. The body is unitary, thin, substantially flat in a normal state, and flexible. Adhesive elements are disposed on the outer panels to fix the holder to the surface to be shimmed. Also disclosed is a shim holder including an outer member; an inner member for contact with a surface to be shimmed; and at least one elastomeric connecter for connecting the outer member to the inner member. An adhesive element is disposed on the inner member for fixing the inner member to the surface to be shimmed. Further disclosed is a method of attaching a shim to a surface to be shimmed including the steps of providing a shim holder, attaching the shim holder to the surface to be shimmed, and loading at least one shim to the shim holder.

    • The invention provides a distance piece e.g. to replace a traditional wedge e.g. for fitting a window to an opening of a building. The distance piece has two parts (2, 3) which are separable by a separation part. During use, the separation part is inserted between the two parts which are forced apart. In this condition, the separation part is locked to leave the distance piece in the expanded condition. After final fixation of the building component, the separation part can be released and moved to a position wherein the two parts are allowed to revert to a collapsed state. In that way, the distance piece facilitates reuse.

    • An adjustable shim for positioning a closure unit in a rough opening. The closure unit includes a frame with a perimeter edge and at least one longitudinal recess in the perimeter edge. The adjustable shim includes an attachment member adapted to releasably couple with the longitudinal recess and at least one deformable leg having a first end and a second end coupled to the attachment member. An elongated member is coupled to the deformable leg in a compact configuration. Displacement of the elongated member in a first direction deforms the leg into an expanded configuration. The adjustable shim in the expanded configuration creates opposing forces simultaneously acting on the perimeter edge and the rough opening sufficient to suspend the closure unit in the rough opening. A method and system for installing a closure unit in a rough opening using the adjustable shim is also disclosed.

    • Wedge couple for fixing and wedging-up of windows and doors in connection with their mounting in a wall opening, and with belonging mounting shears with which the wedges can be located and tightened by means of a shearing operation with one hand. A wedge couple consisting of two flat wedges (1) oriented in mutually opposite directions, each with a thick end (2) and a thin end (3). The thin end of one wedge is connected to the thick end of the other wedge by means of a thin deformable plate (4), which ensures that the two wedges in advance are correctly arranged in relation to each other and able to be displaced only parallelly towards each other in their longitudinal direction, when they are being forced together. The thin deformable plate (4) ends at the thick end (2) of the wedges in a slightly thinner curved portion (5), which serves to start the deformation of the thin plate (4) outside the area where the two wedges must lie close to each other, when the wedges are forced together. In each of the ends (2) of the wedges there is a through-going groove (6) which serves the purpose of holding the wedge couple in the mounting shears during the fixing operation and during the subsequent tightening. The two main parts (8) of the belonging mounting shears are made of 3 mm steel plate, and which fits over the through-going 3 mm wide groove (6) in the wedge couple. The mounting shears are embodied with an extended handle with two sections of which one is used for positioning and light tightening, and the other for strong tightening of the wedge couple.
