    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position sensor that can be made active by approach to an excitation part but cannot be made active by an external magnetic field.
      SOLUTION: A set comprises the position sensor 11 and the excitation part 13. The position sensor 11 has three reed contacts 27, 28, 29 that are arranged in a triangular arrangement and are made parallel one another. The two first reed contacts in them are used to detect an excitation magnetic field doubly. The third reed contact 29 is used to generate an error signal when the sensor is made active by an external magnetic field. The excitation part 13 has three permanent magnets 17, 18, 19 arranged in a triangular arrangement equivalent to that of the reed contacts, and their polar axes are made parallel each other.

    • The magnetic switch assembly of an embodiment generally comprises a switch housing coupled to and/or adjacent to a magnet housing. The switch housing may be coupled to, for example, a door frame, a window frame, or other substantially fixed location. The magnet housing including at least one magnet may be coupled to, for example, a door or other substantially mobile location adjacent to the switch housing. The proximity to or distance from the magnets in the magnet housing may actuate one or more reed switches within the switch housing to open and/or close a circuit and/or otherwise generate a signal that may be communicated to, for example, a security system to detect whether the door is open or closed.

    • A mount for monocular enhanced night vision goggles having an ocular preference adjustment, an interpupillary adjustment, an eye relief adjustment, a tilt adjustment, a vertical adjustment, a quick stowage feature and a flip-up stowage feature is disclosed. An apparatus in accordance with the present invention has a housing secured to headgear. A vertical block is slidably coupled to the housing allowing it to translate vertically. A chassis is rotatably coupled to the vertical block allowing it to rotate between an in-use and flip-up position. A monorail is rotatably coupled to the chassis allowing it to rotate between an in-use and a quick stowage position. A carriage is slidably coupled to the monorail allowing for an eye relief adjustment. Enhanced night vision goggles are attached to a socket assembly which is movably coupled to the carriage allowing relocation in front of either eye while facing the same direction.
