Announcing times for each day of the week are registered on a weekly data table 4. A sequence section 2 receives day of the week information and time information from a timer 3 and actuates a cassette tape drive section 6 at an announsing time registered on the table 4. A melody is previously recorded on a tape at the cassette tape drive section 6 and it is reproduced and broadcasted through a speaker upon actuation of the cassette tape driving section 6. Consequently, an audience can be notified of a specific time. The broadcast can be canceled by means of the day of the week cancel switches 1d1,..., 1d5 such that no melody is broadcast on holiday, for example.
