摘要： The present invention provides a lid in combination with a hollow container for receiving a substance through an open end thereof. The lid comprises a body, a device for assisting a user in consumption of a substance at a correct time interval, and an arrangement for securing the body on the open side of the container in a semi-permanent manner. The body defines a substantially planar exterior surface disposed normal to a length of the container when the body is attached to the open end of the container. Additionally, the body defines a peripheral flange depending from the exterior surface. The peripheral flange defines a generally hollow interior of the body. The device for assisting the user in consumption of the substance at a correct time interval is operable and viewable from the exterior surface.

摘要： A time switch that provides a convenient time setting method through a sub-dial that can be rotated clockwise or counter-clockwise. A ratchet device is constructed of multiple ratchet teeth formed at specific intervals on the rear surface of a drive gear, and pawls that extend from a pinion gear, the tip portions of the pawls engaging the multiple ratchet teeth. The ratchet device does not slip when the torque applied by the motor is sufficient to rotatably drive the dial, but slips when the torque applied to the ratchet device from the dial is greater than that applied by the motor. A control knob, which is attached to the tip of the cam shaft, may be turned to control the rotation of a switching cam which sets contact points to on or off positions.

摘要： An alarming device for a clock comprises a rotationally driven minute time wheel having plural sets of shift teeth, a rotatable 10-minutes time wheel which intermittently meshes with the shift teeth of the minute time wheel to be driven thereby, and a rotatable hour time wheel which intermittently meshes with the 10-minutes time wheel and is driven thereby. First and second detection devices respectively detect when the 10-minutes and hour time wheels are in predetermined angular positions, and setting means enables setting of the detection devices in predetermined positions. An audible alarm is rendered operative and provides an audible alarm only when the 10-minutes time wheel and the hour time wheel have respectively conformed in phase with said first and second detection devices thereby providing notification of the alarm time. The first detection device is provided with alarm time indicating indicia each of which represents one-figure minutes selected in accordance with the number of said shift teeth of the minute time wheel, and the second detection device is provided with alarm time indicating indicia representing hours.

The timing device includes clock works and a rotatable unit driven by the clock works. A reflecting disc having a reflecting surface is mounted on the rotatable unit for rotation therewith. A stationary unit holds a light source which directs a light beam towards the reflecting disc. A program disc is mounted on the rotatable unit between the reflecting disc and the stationary unit. The program disc has a predetermined form for masking certain portions of the reflecting surface from the light beam as the rotatable unit rotates relative to the stationary unit. The timing device includes a light sensor for receiving a reflection of the light beam from the reflecting surface. The light sensor is held by the stationary unit in close proximity to the light source.
